  1. Used the nice weather to give it it's first proper post build-up clean up and polish.

  3. Many thanks, All info welcome, however I will give the tall Dutch bloke's £2.50 a miss, think he has been out in the sun. As you say will strip and sell, even if if just covers a few hundred on the conversion. Mark

  4. Wow... If you don't get that to Stoneleigh by hook or by crook, I'll eject you from the club myself!

  6. I was RainX'ing my windscreen, cleaning my headlights, and plugging a couple of the worst rain ingress places on my car. California is in the middle of a huge drought, but sod and murphy have decided to collaborate and bring rain and thunderstorms for my 200 mile drive to the track tomorrow. The good news is that Wednesday is looking good for the track. I admit it, I skimped a little on the weather proofing during my build. And no, I don't expect any sympathy!

  7. Flatula back fire. Ideal for my family as I would use it at weekends and it would run all week for the misses. Green energy. hmm more like brown.

  8. I have just been out in it and discovered that the rear arches are eating the tyres. There was two of us in it yesterday. (big muscular men that weigh a bit) Easy fix though as there is loads of fibreglass on the return edge that just needs reducing or raise the car. (It still needs a Geo so maybe needs more rear camber) I only posted this thread as a bit of irony.. But in the end its been a nice light-hearted way of the WSCC to shout a big hello to each other. Nice one Gents.

  9. Bob said he'd lend me his trailer if the DVSA doesn't make it, (and TBH, without a walk in - walk out service any more, it's looking pretty unlikely). Clamshells baby, they're the future!

  13. Well I was thinking no, but on reflection maybe as Robert suggests if they were vinyl wrapped then it might work as I would'nt want to go down the route of having them painted for fear of not matching the rest of the bodywork. Certainly would be easy enough to design the right template and get them guillotine cut to start with though. I'll give this some more thought.

  14. I've fitted ones by MickMade and swear by them but if requiring an affordable alternative, aluminum might be worth a thought as Adam has suggested. You could then vinyl wrap them in a colour of your choice!

  15. Other water rail I have seen is Retro Ford Other options for sump also, I think the Scholar one is a bit cheaper than the Raceline one ( not as bling though) and they have an excellent racing pedigree

  19. Hope everyone had fun, thanks for joining in. With eleven people tuning up and only one with the route it was a nice steady pace today so not to lose people off the back. The weather stayed dry and we found some lovely smooth winding back road roads south of the A414 with most of the route being traffic free. Runners and riders Last minute tinkering before the off Arriving at North Weald for coffee and breakfast
