I want to make this a full-on, proper, social occasion. Please put this event into your dairies now, make sure your partners, friend and families have it in their diaries too and let me know by PM how many of you will be attending and what they'd like to eat.

  4. Cheers all for the advice. I don't particularly fancy strapping bodywork onto the roof to be honest so unless I manage to find somewhere for a half decent price, I'll go with Buttercup's idea and see if I can get someone to drive for me. Really looking forward to getting started now!

  7. Bit late to the party, but we use ESET NOD32 on the 175 or so machines & servers I look after on our little non-corporate network. Always a comment that invites trouble, but since installing NOD32, we've not had a single incident. Bearing in mind we have a fair number of casual users (students etc who just love to mess with stuff) of the machines, I think that says a fair bit for its efficacy. The corporate machines have Sophos. Not experienced anything but agro with Norton products for many years, sad to say. They used to be great products when Peter Norton was in charge, but that is going back a few years! Lyonsprides advice is of course sound - many of these things result from a careless click.

  8. I have the 24L SGS compressor and tool kit http://www.sgs-engineering.com/air-compressors/24-litre and I'm very pleased with it - it looks and feels well made. I know many of them appear the same but you can spot the poorer quality "copies" when you see them in the flesh. Machine Mart (Clarke) are pretty good and if you have a local store, pop along and check them out. I think 24L is enough for me (and the garage space) but do check the HP and CFM - mine has 2.5HP and 9.6CFM air flow which is enough for just about everything "home mechanic" without the compressor always cutting in or struggling to keep up with things like air drills or grinders.

  14. Hi everybody Well i wont lie, Its been a very hard 6 months or so the westfield and the owners club have been neglected and thrown on the back burner with what happened. I feel ashamed for my behaviour but Its all been for the new venture in finding myself a new home for me and my son (and the only lady in my life the westy) As you all said along with everyone else "It will be ok, everything happens for a reason, theres light at the end of the tunnel etc etc etc" Well I hate being proven wrong and i have been, as of October i was divorced and by November i managed to get myself back on the property ladder and have spent the last two months working every available hour to get the house decorated to somewhere near where i would like it to be! Me and the lad should be moving in next month all being well! Oh and as you all said "dont sell the westy try your hardest too keep it" you will be pleased to know shes still mine and my new home has a rather nice brick kennel for my animal! so alls well that ends well All thats left for me too say firstly is thankyou for all your advice and support last year, ive not met you all but some real friends on here! Secondly a big sorry for the neglect to the club and especially the Manchester meet, ive not seen them since Stoneleigh. Now my heads out my A**e ill be making my way back to the meets as soon as i can (If u will take me back?) Regards Scott P.s Happy New Year
