  2. in the interests of health and safety (and also keeping the stoneleigh carpets clean) I'd suggest a dry build. Fluids can easily be added after it's finished

  7. Top idea. We have already booked the same sized marquee for outdoors and not 100% sure there would be space (inclusive of keeping the public out of harm) there. However... We are hoping to get the extra space in the interior again and this idea sits very nicely smack bang right there, especially with the likes of NMS, Playskool, et al 100ft away. Having never built myself, I'd need a view of what really goes into it all and what measures people take to ensure safety and what kind of power and lighting we'd need... Overall, if all the bits are available, I don't see any problems Happy to support this from the angle of getting everything needed in place with the management at Stoneleigh and Grosvenor - let me know by PM if you need anything specific.

  10. What Stu said! Don't turn the build into a job. Remember it should be fun, sure, there'll be frustrating and stressful moments, but they will just make the first drive out, all the sweeter.

  12. Hi Glyn, Nice choice of spec you've gone for there. Never fear about the build manual, Most find it's not that clear but theres plenty of people to ask on here. Use plenty of photos on your build diary, that way if you have done anything wrong then someone will be quick to put it right for you. Above all... enjoy.

  13. Just wondering, is it possible to have a forum sub area for this topic? There are loads of things we need to agree on and also organise like why we are doing this, who we are doing it for, the parts needed, logistics and admin. If we have threads for that in this current area, they will get swamped pretty quickly. Can we do polls? It would be nice if all the members who wanted to, could express their opinions as to what charity we support etc This will take a monumental amount of good will from members so we all need to feel part of it and that our opinions are heard / count. Just my $0.02...

  15. Unfortunately I'd have to agree, like you I already have two projects in the garage and neither the time or the space for another, this morning was the first time in 7weeks I've actully driven my Westfield.I'd happily support anyone that chooses to take this idea forward and that offers their time and resource to make it happen, but that person would need to volunteer themselves rather than be volunteered.
