  1. OMG what crazy day, we've had torrential rain and brilliant hot sunshine, a dryish track for first practise to tip toeing around in standing water for P2. We should have had a P3 but a marshall got injured when a MK1 Lotus Cortina came off on the final corner and hit him before ending up in the tyre wall, then a long stoppage while the air ambulance attended the marshall who thankfully was not seriously hurt, a broken elbow we were told. T1 was on a wet but drying track and finally T2 was just dry before the rain came again as everyone loaded up for home. A few offs for some of the Westfield drivers but no serious damage thankfully, I'll leave Tel to fill you all in with his blog. The day started well for me with a 55.32 P1( my previous pb was 63.58 in the wet ) P2 62.05, T1 60.22 and finished with an unbelievable 53.03 for T2, so I'm a very happy bunny knocking over ten seconds off my pb the silver bullet is flying Sorry about the weather today guy's, it just follows me

  2. Road going widebody SDV Westfield with Duratec engine and Type 9 gearbox. I originally bought this in Sept 2009 as a project car ready to put a big BHP Duratec into, but as some of you will be aware that is now in Luke & Richard’s car and going very well. When originally built it had the usual Pinto engine, but I have now put a 2ltr Duratec out of a Focus ST150, which is the most powerful standard Duratec with a higher flowing cylinder head. It has the SBD wet sump which is fine for most road and track use. The car is running DTA S40 and can easily be swapped to throttle bodies if required, but as is BHP is around 190, which is more than enough for most road use. It’s currently part way to being made a track car, with Plays Kools MSA Roll Bar, lightweight bonnet and nose cone. Boot box removed and CE ABS rear cover fitted. Whilst pictures show Westfield’s normal sports seats a set of padded race seats can be fitted if preferred. Fitted with brand new wheels & tyres. Car was originally built in 2005 from an SDV kit and registered on a Q plate. Has been off the road since March 2010. So very little use with only 5700 miles. 12 months MOT & 6 Months road tax. Standard road going car with Screen/wipers etc. colour Yellow with Black Bonnet & Nose cone. Bodywork in very good condition Engine/Transmission Standard Duratec engine from a Focus ST150 car with 34,000 miles. Caterham single inlet plenum SBD Duratec specialist wet sump. DTA S40pro ECU Motorsport engine loom ST150 steel flywheel & Clutch Westfield Duratec exhaust manifolds & re-packable silencer. Type 9 5 speed gearbox Sierra 3.62 Diff Suspension/Steering/Brakes M16 front callipers Cortina uprights Sierra rear drums New Team Dynamics 15” x 7” wheels Brand new Toyo T1R tyres Westfield Instruments & dash Plays Kool MSA roll-over bar Westfield 2” 4 point harnesses (Driver & Passenger) Sidescreens & rear toneau cover Currently fitted with Westfield Sports Seats, but a set of Westfield Covered Race Seats are available. PM me or email nick (at) plays-kool.co.uk for more info or to call and chat about the car

  3. They're not; just a joke title to the thread, hence moving it to S&N.
