  1. Thanks guys, what a weekend ! Thanks to Terry, Steve and all that helped me today. A BIG thank you to my fellow shinny spanner Lee Smith who calmed me down with a nice cuppa and then helped drag my poor Westy onto my trailer. Owe you a pint mate Good luck to everyone for tomorrow, although go easy at quarry. Will get the car fixed ASAP and be back!

  2. Today i've learned that: A. My Westfield has a mahoosive leak in the scuttle area in monsoon rains - very wet leg! B. Spray is forced between the doors and body at elbow position - very wet arm and hip. C. I still had a grin on my face! Ian

  5. It's a bonus having the channel breaking, you can now fold the roof up in nice small package. A clip and thumbscrew can be made up to hold the centre in place.

  8. That's one of these https://ecliptech.com.au/product-category/shifti/ You can program the rev range you want fairly simply, and in the SDV it was a simple install (as the relevant wires are available at the back of the guage cluster)

  9. Sounds much like the SAAB-engine. Not in brittain. Check (mainly in Sweden I guess and mostly due to availability and our bhp restrictions on a car) Tall. Check. Need modified sump and V8 bonnet. Heavy. Check. I think mostly due to the bhp issues it is still a popular choice here. A heavy 7 can have 150bhp which is what you get from the, most commonly used, SAAB engine. And yet at almost no cost you can have close to 300 bhp once the car has been approved. The bhp rule in Sweden is 15kw / 100kg weight (dry weight plus aprox 100kg).
