Cheers for replies all.....and just to cap it, I agree with Stu, Blue Ass Fly and others with the age of the engine taking priority ( not that I'd doubt you all of course!) now that I went along to an online version of the mot manual. Of interest it says in notes that it is up to the presenter to prove the age of the engine, which shouldn't be a problem for me as I have a printed vauxhall letter confirming 1991 year of manufacture to engine no, In my history.
