  4. Did a colour change on ours a couple of years back. Considered a body swap but decided to give up on a gelcoat finish. Had it sprayed. TBH, that can cost anywhere from £50 to £5000, depending on many variables. Ours wasn't cheap, comparable to fitting new panels, but we are very happy with the result. I took the opportunity to make some changes like rear lights, new bonnet and move some bits around which added to the cost and complexity, but the pre-paint strip isn't that much work - lot less than a re-body anyway. Worst bit would probably be getting the scuttle off. While I was at it, I also stripped the alloy panels under the scuttle and had them powder coated black - they were looking a bit tired after 20 odd years.

  5. I agree, the blogs section is a useful tool if you want to "archive" something for reference by others at a later date, such as with your heated mirrors upgrade etc. But when building or upgrading, a thread on the boardroom will generate so much more invaluable feedback and input from the other members to help and assist.

  6. Personally I don't think it does, the blog area is not so nice to read and obtain member input from my experience of it

  9. Ian Yes love 2 strokes , I have had more than a few in my time I sold a rd 350 air cooled a few years ago and regret it. I have a few classics left but don't do much with them although lately I have been thinking about buying a 2 stroke. I have currently buried in various places a 71 Norton Commando , a 56 BSA with a single seat sidecar and a 66 Panther with a sidecar and an old BMW if I remember whose garage I left it in ! Never had a YPVS but just been reading a mag article about them. One day !
