  1. Heads up for August dates. 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Old Ferryboat, Hollywell St Ives. 6pm to 10pm as per usual. Details of venue are on the link below. https://www.oldenglishinns.co.uk/our-locations/the-old-ferry-boat-st-ives/ The dates for the last Sunday of the months seem to clash with both Cleggy and I so we have made a decision to move the date to Sunday September 1st. The plan is as follows. Weather permitting we are going to have a BBQ on Brancaster Beach. There is ample parking at the beach and I think a day parking ticket is around £3.00 The primary meet up points will be the same as the Fish & Chip run on the 25th July (Eye Services Peterborough and Tesco Milton) then both groups will form up at the services at Downham Market (times to be advised) The plan is to have a good blat around the local area (on the way to Brancaster) and then to BBQ in the early afternoon. We will supply the BBQ, sauces, sundries and a cook (that'll be me then). All you need to bring is something to drink, some dead animal for me to carbonise and a bun to put it in. I aim to be cooking by 1pm. Brancaster beach is on the following link (look for the golf club) It's a HUGE beach with plenty of shallow water (good for having a paddle) but it can be a bit windy. https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=brancaster+beach&hl=en&ll=52.963012,0.639181&spn=0.041049,0.111494&hq=beach&hnear=Brancaster,+Norfolk,+United+Kingdom&t=m&fll=52.960479,0.635233&fspn=0.041051,0.111494&z=14 There is a kiosk that does soft drinks, ice cream, tean and coffee ect and public toilets that are a short walk from the beach. Other areas are welcome to come along and maybe we can put together some post BBQ silly games or a game of footy Post up if you are interested. Chaz.

  2. Following on from my other thread, clicky, I also have the following for sale Hood for SEiW in excellent condition as can be seen by the pictures. Please note I wouldn't like to say that it would fit over an RAC roll bar as I personally experienced problems fitting it to the windscreen press-studs. I was also advised at the time of purchasing the Westy that the previous owner had cut the ABS plastic at the front of the hood in half as this greatly assist with installation, I'm not an authority to say whether this is correct but can confirm it has no detrimental effect and I can see how it makes it an easier task. SOLD, can be either collected or posted. I will also include the frame with the sale FOC but from what I've seen in other threads and in the manual it appears to be incomplete. Classic Side Screens for SEiW both in excellent condition with some very very slight marks to the screens as can be seen by the pictures. Following pictures show very slight marks to screens SOLD, can be either collected or posted. I'm located just outside Stow on the Wold for those who wish to collect or postage will be via courier and price will be confirmed once packed. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions and I will try to answer with my limited knowledge or additional pictures can be provided if requested. Disclaimer: the car is not included with any of the above items!!

  3. It was agreat finale to the series and one which, as it is shown in every country but France according to the map they used, will show the world what we build in this country. What it should also shown to those who hate cars, is just what the economy of UK would be without them in terms of employment, tax take from the manufacturing to fuel they use. But whilst that is a good situation we still need much more in the UK. All the big factories are so robotised that they do not employ as many as before. We need tax breaks to help smaller labour intensive manufacturers thrive. In the 70's and 80's every bit of clothing that was sold in M&S was made in the UK. In Barnsley SR Gents employed hundreds of women who made quality clothes that British Women wanted, now everything is made in the sweatshops in the Far East and India. They are the sort of manufacturers we need back to get employment up. As for the Jag, the noise that made was just perfect, a no apologies car that will sell by the truckload.
