  1. Gadgetman, Sorry to disagree, they do not DESERVE a hard time. They have a hard time and we should be constructive with our suggestions, as you rightly say. However, if anyone feels that passionate shouldn't they step forward and take up a job on the committee? I've been there in other clubs. It's a thankless task and many times I had to sit and count to 10 (sometimes very slowly and loudly). Members can be a real pain in the backside. I've said it before but my experience says 10% do all the work and the remaining 90% complain about it.

  3. With most sprints you get 2 practice runs and 2 or 3 timed runs. At Llandow you get almost 2 laps of the circuit on each timed run because your start from behind the control tower, do a full lap and then finish at the start of the pit straight. On paper sprints look poor value but it is the competitive element that makes all the difference. I get a bit bored at track days. I wouldn't worry about being slow - in many ways you are also competing against your own times. Also there will be lots of people pleased to offer advice on lines and technique.
