  2. It ran long enough to note that the fuel pressure was set at around 20 psi, so I tweaked it up to 42 psi, and here it is running a treat. It's showing around 60psi oil pressure at idle and at 70 degrees the water pump cut in (which was the temp I set) and all looks good. Here it is, third run: Next, onto the internal panelling which I shall be making myself in carbon (when the garage warms up a bit).

  3. I don't see any agression on the Board from paid members towards people who have chosen not to pay their membership. The same help and assistance is offerered to them if they need it as any paid member. What I am seeing is an increasing number of posts from people who expect to get something for nothing and then whinge and moan when they can't have it. As has already been said, you get what you pay for.

  5. Ooooh a grumpy thread. Just made for me. My grump at this minute is packaging. I tried to open a packet of smoked ham (Fume-Jambon). I cut round two sides of the package with a sharp knife. I then fried to peel off a slice. After a few seconds I realised they were not separating. I thought they must be tightly pressed until I saw that there was another packaging film around the ham. This one was even harder to cut than the first. Whatever you do don't buy a Braun electric toothbrush and expect to use it on the day of purchase. Last one I bought took me ages to cut open with 3 layers of welded plastic to cut through. Now, just give me 10 minutes and I'll think of many more things to moan about.

  6. I have to say, this endless harping on about the search function really does fascinate me. Until the new Boardroom was launched, for various (known) technical reasons the search function on the old Boardroom hadn't actually worked properly for years. A fact that became obvious really quickly the moment you tried using it in anger; yet I don't remember more than half a dozen or so people EVER actually bringing this up. Yet now it's a deal breaker. It's a strange world sometimes.

  8. Sad but another crackhead that had the world at their feet and didn't know how lucky they were, how many would swap without throwing it all away.

  9. Not allowing access to the sale forums has always been the case and always worked and made sense, stops dreamers and tyre kickers from wasting member time, also lets members benefit from selling parts to each other without the bother of outside vultures swooping in. Same with PMs, stops outsiders from abusing the system, if you want to contact a member, then YOU have to provide contact details to prove you're not a spammer or a troll, makes perfect sense. Charging a few measley quid for access to a decade-old database with thousands and thousands of posts that can literally save you thousands of pounds in garage costs and hundreds of hours of labour time is not extortion, it's the bl**dy bargain of the century. Complaining that you can't have something valuable for nothing is misguided at best and pathetic at worst. Frankly, this should have been done years ago. If you're that desperate for info off the boards, there's a tool you can use that you might not be aware of - its called Google. Of course, you'd have to open another tab in your browser, which I accept is a real inconvenience. The clue is in the name - Westfield Sports Car CLUB, not Free Public Library & Playground. Any club that doesn't charge to join and allows total freedom isn't worth the letters in its name. You'll get over it.

  10. its like feckers who moan when there car fails on brake pads or ball joints who really feck me off ,i have seen ****s who have posted on another forum i use saying its passed the last two years with advisories on the ball joints ,and they have failed it now on them ,well that says to me what a incompetant pr**k of a owner who shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car , endangering others lives with his own selfish perthetic attitude to car repairs ,people like this should loose there licence , believe me i have seen cars inspected by the police after they have been involved in serious accidents ,they go through them like a dose of salts brakes, joints, tyres everything ,and any half serious things that are wrong they will throw the book at you
