  1. I've put my address in as instructed and I am led to believe this is private so others can't see it which is as it should be? I've looked at other profiles and this seems to be the case Would it be possible to have a general location visible even if it was just the WSCC Area? Perhaps it could be something automatic? I know it's something I've always found useful when chatting and looking in wanted / for sale.

  3. Never underestimate the "old slippers" effect, I'm sure there'll be plenty of remembering the old Boardroom with rose tinted spectacles. Yes, I'll miss the search engine that randomly either returned results from prior to 2006 or the last year to two only. Yes I'll miss all those posts from poor b*******s who just what to buy something from another member but can't 'cause their posting rights are stuck in transit somewhere. Yes I'll miss all those posts from people asking if please sir can we have an iPhone/android reader. Or why the Boardroom actually seems to predate the Lotus 7 that inspired our daft little cars in the first place. Oh wait, no I won't. I'll try to stop being pleased at how easy it is to jump straight to the relevant last post in a thread without scrolling through a dozen supersized photos that I've already drooled over, or how easy it is to find new postings and threads. or how much better the PM system seems to be now, let alone the "conversation" widget, and how easy it was to attach a couple of files to a message to another member the other day. And the great new selection of smilies, oh wait, I'm back on the iPad, I won't Seriously though, it's going to take a while to work out how to do things and to find all the new things we can do. Plus for many it's been the first week back at work, which I guess may not help. Give it time, it will settle down, the odd bugs will be ironed out, and more of the previous users will find their way in and before you know it we"ll all be embedded FaceTwit Tubing each other like hyperactive school kids.

  7. Another day in the garage and more progress. Todays job, remaking the aluminium panels. Most of the original panels were either pretty ropey or had been butchered by me when they were removed so it turned into quite a time consuming job with nothing I could easily use as a pattern to remake them. The shoulder and rear tunnel panels proved most difficult due to the multitude of angles and cuts to clear other tubes, but now just about all of them are cut with the exception of the forward tunnel panels which I'm going to leave the fitting of until the engine is in. Obviously everything still needs riveting in place. Next task is to flip the chassis on it's side so I can fit the floor panels

  18. Ok, here's a suggestion for a 'central' venue: Where: Brewers Fare Pirnhall Inn, Glasgow Road, Stirling, FK7 8EX. Just off the M9, not far from Stirling services. When: Sunday 22nd January @12:00. I think we need to get the provisional dates out asap because the folks that are further away are not realistically going to be able to attend a meeting. Either posted on the forum for discussion, or emailed out to everyone. If we can get the list drafted this time and published, it would be good. Cheers, Matt ps - I'll try and attend a meet anywhere (within reason) - this is just a suggestion to get the ball rolling.

  21. Hi Kev, I'm a giant..........I'm at least 6ft 5 but I'm skinny. I test drove a car 10 years ago and it was no use. I'm now building one with lowered floor-what a big difference 2 inches makes! I'd hold out for a car with with lowered floor for sure if you're tall. The sport turbo seats seem to give a bit more room too. Doug You can buy the lowered floor pan as an add on to any Seiw I believe. You may need to remove the supporting bar (or move it if needed) but Westfield can now supply these in Steel
