Lordbenny
So, I've probably decided on RAF officer's uniform, handlebar moustache and a pipe However, budget, availability and the fact that every other bloke will be wearing the same outfit I thought I'd asked what you would/did wear? Obviously, a white boiler suit and a brown leather belt is the cheapest option but wouldn't mind some other thoughts. 40's, 50's & 60's is the theme. XTR2Turbo
I'd also take a look at the forecast. If as hot as this weekend then a full military uniform can make it a very tiring day.

jonclancy
We had a smashing time yesterday. What a day out!!! Nearly 270 miles in the XI, around 8 hours driving, and more period cars and warbirds than you could wish for. Have fun, Benny!

Mooch
Still can't believe what a good day that was - 8 hours in the XI, first 4 in the persistent rain! Here's the Xi in some illustrious company - some excellent blagging by Jon to get in to the posh bit....went a bit like this... "Can In see your pass, please?" "Sorry don't have one..." "OK, Sir, if you would like to follow the steward's directions and park next to the Aston Martin 2.4....." "Thank you!....varoooooom......" Mooch
And never let Martin Brundle drive your Cobra......results of a spectacular and expensive off in the Shelby Trophy on Friday. Might polish out, though....
Mooch
I'm so sorry...that's never happened before......   You wait your whole life to see just one and then they all come at once. How beautiful are these Astons?

XTR2Turbo
Smokey. Public parking is free and even without tickets there is plenty to see just in the pre 79 car park and 'over the road section'. I was there today. Might go back tomorrow. Mooch
I wish I could go back too! The 'Tax Exempt' car park was second only to the multi-millions worth of serious hardware in the Paddock area. It was like every desirable classic in the world was in there - all beautifully presented. Automotive pornography is the only way I could describe it.
