KugaWestie
So what have you bought - 1.6 or 1.8? How old is it?
darve
haha didn't think of the 1/12 being cheaper than 1/6. good idea. I assume this means an obligatory (de)build thread is required :-D

deanoecosse
Darve when you strip the MX5, make sure you remove all the parts you DON'T need for the Westy aswell (front wings just bolt on), lights, interior etc. I made back every penny I'd spent on my donor by selling the stuff I didn't need, then got scrap value on the shell at the end. Good luck with the build and remember there will be no problems you encounter that some or all of us MX5-Westy builders haven't been through before and can help with. darve
hi dean i don't suppose you have a record of all the parts you sold and how much for? my plan was to sell as much as I can and a list of th sellable parts would be a great guide. thanks

Mark (smokey mow)
I've got the gist that smokey is the mx5 God around here when I built mine the Mazda kit was still pretty new and there was nobody else for me to ask I had to make all the mistakes by myself and then hopefully work out the answers If you've picked up the MX5 by Sunday, bring it along to the Essex monthy meet and I'd be happy to give it a once over for you.
