Maintaining a Westfield

Most odd. May be worth trying to ascertain a manufacturer ID and checking on the service life. Or perhaps a call to one of the prop specialists like Bailey Morris for some advice...

Indeed. Thinking about it some more SWMBO has an S2000 which doesn't need the prop greasing according to the service schedule. And I can't believe all these BMW's, Merc's, Lexi, etc need it doing in this day and age either.

It's a fair point. I've just never seen a Westfield supplied prop without grease nipples. You learn something new every day...

So something like:

Service 1 - Every 12months or 10,000 miles

• Change engine oil and filter

• Replace or re-oil air filter

• Check and top-up brake/clutch fluid

• Check coolant level

Service 2 - Every 24months or 20,000 miles

• Change brake/clutch fluid and bleed brakes

• Replace spark plugs

• Inspect CVJ boots

• Inspect all suspension bolts

• Grease prop-shaft UJs

Service 3 - Every 36months or 30,000 miles

• Replace coolant

• Check transmission oil and top-up

• Check differential oil and top-up

• Check condition of fuel and brake lines

• Check suspension alignment

Service 4 - Every 48months or 40,000 miles

• Replace fuel filters

Service 5 - Every 60months or 60,000 miles

• Replace transmission oil

• Replace differential oil

• Replace Cam-belt where fitted

Format looks good mate.

I'd base the mileages on average annual mileage, so maybe a quick poll to gauge average mileage.

I wasn't sure what to do with mileages, maybe base on 5,000 pa. but I figured that in most cases the time will come round first.
