SOLD

Currently in mod prod spec but all parts required to convert to road spec are included, and is still road registered.

Car was built by Lindsay Pointon  and was extensively developed with help from SBD.

The car has been stripped and rebuilt every winter and is in superb condition.

Very competitive car – loads of class wins (Shelsley Walsh, Barkstone, Thoresby etc) nearly always in the trophies and looks great. FTD’s at Thoresby, Barkstone Heath and second overall  in the RAFMSA speed championship despite two events not attended.

Chassis:

. Westfield Race Braced, IRS, Wide Body, fully powder coated

. RAC roll over bar with detachable front and rear stays

. Fully enclosed floor

. PlaysKool carbon rear diffuser

. Playskool upper damper brace

. SBD wide track aero section front wishbones

. Aluminium uprights and hubs

. Rose jointed at front

. Poly bushes at rear

. Front and rear anti-roll bars

. AVO double adjustable front shocks (aluminium) with 2.5” springs

. AVO single adjustable rear shocks (steel) with 1.9” springs

. Quick Rack with modified steering arms (rose jointed)

Bodywork:

. Lightweight GRP body in Kingfisher (turquoise)

. Wide rear wings in black.

. Mallock front cycle wings in black (for slicks)

. Std sized rear wings in Kingfisher.

. Front cycle wings in carbon (road)

. Westfield Aero screen in Kingfisher with smoked Perspex.

. Extra scuttle in kingfisher complete with windscreen and wipers.

. Black nose fitted and spare kingfisher nose included

. Engine bay sides are flared out and on dzus fasteners

. Toneau cover (only for use with windscreen scuttle)

. Carbon/GRP race seat with padded passenger seat (removable)

. Playskool GRP passenger seat for road

. Willans 4 point harnesses x2

. Carbon/GRP Boot box cover

. Mickmade Carbon Dash

Wheels:

. 2 x Image 11” x 13” rears with sprint slicks

. 2 x Image 9” x 13” fronts with sprint slicks

. 4 x ford RS  7” x 13” 4x Yoko A008 Tyres need replacing (road wheels)

Engine:

. SBD Vauxhall XE 2.0l 16v built and maintained by SBD Approx 230BHP

. Coscast head

. Fuel injection on SBD Throttle Bodies.

. Pace dry sump system

. Steel rods (revs to 8750)

. High compression pistons

. Small alternator

. Aluminium idler pulleys.

. 233mm lightweight flywheel with 7.25” Helix twin plate paddle clutch (friction plates renewed 5 events ago) used retained and photographs.

. Geared starter motor

. MicroCool oil filter

. Aeroquip hoses throughout

. Solid engine mounts (rubber mounts available)

. SBD exhaust system with carbon silencer.

. Lightweight radiator and electric fan

. Silicon hoses

. Only used for sprints and Hillclimbs – never circuit raced or hammered on track days.

Transmission:

. Quaife 4 speed dog box (4 dog)

. 3.92 Sierra diff with viscous LSD

. Solid mounted gearbox (rubber mount available)

Brakes:

. Alcon 4 pots at front

. Std Westfield at rear

. Floor mounted bias bar with residual pressure valve

. Lightened, grooved and drilled disks. Recently renewed

Electrics:

. Std Westfield loom (no conversion required back to road spec)

. Push button start

. FIA kill switch

. Small race battery

. Stack rev counter with tell tale and shift light

. Oil pressure gauge and low pressure warning light

. Oil and water temp gauges

. VDO speedo

. Switches for road going stuff (lights, horn etc)

Other:

. 2 gallon sprint fuel tank with integral swirl pot.

. Plumbed fire extinguisher

Hi Dave

Car looks great - you have obviously looked after it well.

I would love to but it back from you if I had the cash. I have fond memories of the car and to be honest, wished I had never sold it.

Would gladly do a swap for my RGB race car - Fisher Fury with honda fireblade engine, but doubt you'd fancy it.

Good luck with the sale, I hope it goes to a good home.

Awesome car Dave, sorry to see you selling it mate...

Anyone after a tidy, well sorted car for track or road will be getting a good deal with it....good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the comments everybody  - I will be sorry to see it go  :(

I've got hundreds of pics of the car but not many of the nearside. I'm just having the drive done at the moment so will get some taken when I can get it outside.

It is stunning you would not believe it is over 10year sold.

Exhaust looks awesome thats what I wanted to see.

Dave if I can get the Tiv shifted I'll be intouch (unless you want to p/ex)
