will be unloading the camera of truth later.. should have some footage of me bouncing off the rev limiter in 6th down the back straight and through the chicane   at 132

Jammy fookers

Still I'm out in the Burgundy Bullet tomorrow night ;)

Good luck biglad  :t-up: let us know the outcome and get soem pictures of any mumble girls when they hand you the trophy  :D  :D

Top night I can't believe it's legal   no major incidents bar a tree strike and a snapped exhaust bracket after we got the Burgundy Bullet air born over a bridge. This was the only pic I got although the organisers took a couple, one of which is me conked out after entering a ford with a shade to much enthusiasm  :t-up:  :t-up:  :t-up:

jockhill was superb :)  350 miles all told (140 miles each way plus 70 miles on track).  can highly recommend the trip, day was very well run and standard of driving was good.  great fun track.

Did it stay dry for you Mike? Any bonny pics/vid?  Totalled up my mileage yesterday, 287miles. That's about 140 on track. Used £70 of fuel, rough mpg must be about 16 to the gallon average for the day.

Yuk Yuk, there were 25 cars in total and most were 205 gti's with a couple of Nova's and civics thrown in.

That mini was fooking quick down the lanes

Well at least you and the car got back in one piece  :D  not easy averaging 30 mph is it. When I used to do it the field was full of Escorts, Talbot Sunbeams, Avengers and the occasional Godfrey Davis hire car  :p . When is your next event Mike.

:D  :D  :D  :D

The VK in Derbyshire I think but it's a long old way to drive a 1400 astra ;)

Think I have been spoilt

Why not trailer it on Friday night and do a B & B with SWMBO and make a weekend of it.

:D  :D  :D  :D

Not a bad idea but

SWMBO thinks I'm mental as it is ;)

Trailering is frowned upon in the Road Rallying world :)

I'm skint

Our trailer is only '7' size and the astra dwarfs the poor thing ;)

70 miles was about right as it was only 9-1.  track was very greasy to begin with but dried up nicely within an hour.  started raining about 12:30, but i had run out of fuel by then, so called it a day as i knew i had to drive back home and had been "ahem" pushing my luck a tad at times.

didnt bother taking a camera.

fortunately others did :)

lots of photos here and here
