Thanks to everyone for making the effort so worthwhile.

With everyone donating £5 to The Sporting Bears we were able to hand-over a wad of £105. Pictures to follow soon hopefully.

Sporting Bears were very grateful and commented that a few clubs treat the event like a car park and don't enter into the charitable spirit of the event.

I hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we did and the you had a safe journey home, whether it was under your own steam or not.

Now wheres the after-sun cream?

Thanks to Chris for organsing the day, and Mark for our Derby & Notts route. What a great way to arrive - all on mass and sort of in convoy!  No traffic jams on way home so no steam thank goodness.

thanks chris, myself and sam got home safely

I wasn't going to mention names.........

or the fact that it was two non - Westies :)

I hoep that your problems are easily fixed, Sounds like both of you already have diagnosis sorted already though.

How bizarre is the fact that the breakdown truck broke-down too!!

Thanks for a great day Chris and thanks to everyone who turned up, it's nice to see a good number of cars together in this area  :D

Here are some pics for you to enjoy. By the way I am no David Bailey. :D

The only two cars to break down were non-Westfields.  I can feel a tear welling up... not!  :D:D

The rest of my photo's are on the Cambs WSCC site

Pah. It wasn't really broken, I just wanted a lift home to save the petrol.

And anyway, it was the rubbarsh Jap engineering that failed, not my build skills.

And anyway it only took 15 mins to fix once I got home and got the toolbox out.

Thanks again to Jody and Jody Snr for their efforts.
