potster Posted August 15, 2005 Share Posted August 15, 2005 Looks like the 28th of August has the thumbs up from a good few people SO the plan is: - Meet in Skipton town hall car park around 9 ish. Bacon butty and a brew. (Loads of parking at that time of the day and a take away) Set off for Whitby around 9:30 via Skipton-Grassington-Pateley Bridge-Ripon-Thirsk-Helmsley-North Yorks moors-Whitby Stopping half way for a brew. Arrive in Whitby around 1 ish for lunch (Fish & Chips of course) Set off back to Skipton via a different route stopping for a pint on the way Arrive back in Skipton around 5 ish. I'll come up with a clearer route in the very near future. Any recommendations for good driving roads appreciated. I'll distribute some kind of map once the route is decided.
