Tony Sighe Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Hi Andy, Congratulations on getting the Throbber on track! Sorry I couldn't have been there to share it with you! (xmas shopping all done now thanks! ) So what kind of tyres do you think you'll get? (I've got the same problem - crap tyres! ) PS - Did Malc get out on track in his car? Anyone drive the Noble? Tony Quote
adhawkins Posted December 12, 2004 Author Posted December 12, 2004 Malc took a couple of pics with my camera, he was still getting used to its ridiculously slow shutter speed though, so unfortunately they didn't come out too well. I'll probably get some AO48s, that's what people seem to recommend these days. Malcolm didn't bother noise testing his car, but he did come out with me. Not sure if anyone we know drove the Noble. You should have taken an hour or two out to come for a natter Tony Andy Quote
Tony Sighe Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Hi Andy, I priced up the 48s - £160 each on a 15 inch wheel !! Something I need to do before I bring the Westie on track again (after my recent investment! ) I would loved to have been there in the 205 - I get it back this Wednesday (too late! ). Just need to find an airfield day to test it! Take it Chris White didn't attend? (Yellow V8) Tony Quote

Crash Override Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 I was pretty sure my car wouldn't of got through the noise limit so didn't bother trying, did speak to a guy with a megablade who had a repackable exhaust on his which looks very similar to factory's standard mega range zorst - he said he'd try and find out from the previous owner where he got it from. Be back on track next year though, must get new tyres too as the tread is mighty low due to over happy right foot. Had a great afternoon as passenger in Andy's car though, even though I was sliding about in the poor excuse for a passenger seat, hurry up and get those new race seats fitted Andy (if you want any help just let me know). And I never once reached for the battery cut off switch I see you've used one of the pictures that I took to update your avatar Andy, and the shutter speed is ridiculose as for that picture I had pushed the button when you were facing towards me. Yep, I did warn you. It is possible to take good pictures with the camera, you just have to be sharp when tracking the subject. I've got some pretty decent shots of the speed series guys on occasion.
