A Lotus with Vauxhall badges. Best way to get a bargain. Definitely go for it, you won't be disappointed. But stay away from the dealers when you come to service it or get the little niggles looked at, because they'll no doubt make thinks worse (from experience).

I'm waiting till they get to 12k before buying I reckon.

What about a Lotus Carlton for 10k then? :D

Very capable car. I have had the privilege of chucking one round a track and they are very good. But would still have a Westy over a VX220 any day ;)

It's on the hefty side - 200bhp sounds good, but only equates to 215bhp per ton.

£17990 will by you a good Elise and 180kg lighter

Hmm, tell me more

A set of disks and pads is over £2k.  No headgaskets, or if they made some they didnt make any head bolts.  All the companies that chipped them didnt uprate the injectors which is bad.
