Hard tops

soft tops are ok to use, particularly in a wide-bodied car. (can't comment on a narrow - never had the pleasure ???  )

As mentioned though not necessarily that good at keeping the wet stuff out. The rain collects on the roof and channels in behind the door, which means onto the seat and ... :arse:

Also rain gets under the windscreen (although you could solve that) :D

I used the hood to get the car home, but since taking it off I've only used the tonneau. Been caught in a couple of showers and the worse thing was rain making me blink! :p

Personally I'd try to buy a car with a soft top though for resale benefit. A hard top is a nice idea but for anything over a couple of hundred quid not worth it. IMHO :D

TimD has many heads. He's from Norfolk.............

Oi!

The real trouble is being 6'4", and "on the large side"... And I'll see you at Stoneleigh... :p:D

PS. Just to run the risk of posting kinda on topic in this thread :p I could get in and out of a westy with weather gear with no problems - yes there was a knack to it, but it was ok.

Then I saw the light and fitted an aeroscreen...

...oh, and stopped driving it in the rain!! :D:D

Ah, ok. All becomes clear now.

No wonder he can't get in a GT40.

I'm the site administrator. I leave the actual writing to those more technically minded... :)

Come on Blatters / ACW, get some more stuff in there!

Oh-oh........ I guess I'd better have a drink or two in my hands......  ;)

What day? Chances are I'll be there Monday only, if at all...........

Good idea! ;):D

Erm, dunno, I'll be there on the dryest day - hopefully in the westy, if it's in one bit at the time (those that know me will know how unlikely that will be! ).

Monday is the club meeting wotsit isn't it, so technically I suppose I oughta be there for that day really being an AO and all that..  :0:D

Dunno. Traditionally, the AGM is on the Monday, but I've seen nowt yet. You'd think a Committee Member would stick it in the events calendar..........

There's never a committee member around when you need one...
