As your such a glutton for punishment @KugaWestie the obviously choice is black.  Beautiful for about one hour, then it gets dusty and you’re permanently chasing swirl marks. 😄

Do I win a prize?

So time to talk about the passenger door.

Firstly although my door hinges were a lot better, I still was not happy with them. A while ago I asked @Ben (bunje) to knock me up some tubes and a sleeve to fit inside them. So the first job was to cut the existing tube off and weld the new ones onto the hinge for the passenger door.

The inner sleeve is slightly longer than the outer tube. The theory was that the inner sleeve would be clamped and the outer sleeve would float around it when opening the door. I am pleased to say this has worked very well, thanks again @Ben (bunje)

I fitted the hinge back onto the chassis and mounted the passenger door on the hinge. I knew there was work to be done on the fit already, but this was the fit to start with.

The bottom edge of the door was sitting proud of the body.

I spent some time fettling the hinge, and got the fit a bit better

I was happy that this was the closest I was going to get to a fit, so it was time for some pudding again

More to be done but good progress

Great to see that the hinge alterations worked well.

Some more work on the filling of the body around the passenger door. Last nights first pass sanded back and a second coat along the top edge. This then got sanded back and a third coat was applied where needed

It’s much better already
