Liquidation or Administration?

Administration, to try and get fair return for creditors. Maybe even sell as going concern.

Liquidation just winds up the company. The end.

And with the latest Westfield World hitting the mat, another thought occurs... How many of our members who receive magazines do not ever use the forums? They may be unaware of the situation. Is it worth a snail-mail shot to those folks, assuming we can get the stats?

@Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman I've amended the thread title to match the statement on the WSC home page.

It's very sad news, I wonder if the specialist guys from westfield (parts & servicing etc) will create their own company as I know we would all use them!

It seems to have been well publicised. I've had a fair few people in work (who know Im into kit cars) saying about it.......It was all over pistonheads, and I think the big mags are also running features.

Hi Si, if you have paid on credit card you can claim the money back from them otherwise you are an unsecured creditor unfortunately.

There were a number of people who put large deposits down at Stoneleigh it was reported in the Complete Kitcar Magazine they hopefully did it on card as well.

Yeah the majority was on a card thankfully and it’s not a huge amount anyway. I really feel for those with big £££ orders.

That's great news. Fingers crossed I get the same email soon.

Apologies if this question has been asked already. Is the Chessel part of the company in administration?

Yes it would appear so.

see below

https://chesil.co.uk

I’m less clear on GTM though as companies house list them as a separate company to the two Westfield companies that are in administration although they are presently dormant.

they appear to exist only as a name now and I assume the business has likewise been absorbed into Westfield.

The wording of the response implies that you've not already paid in full. If you have, I'd suggest reiterating that and see what they say. If you've paid, it's no longer stock....
