Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 The demographic of those vaccinated thus far is mainly and variously the old, lame and the halt, to coin a biblical phrase. Not best set to survive much at all. 2 Quote

I think the most telling sentence I read (and I'll try to find it again) was that bioligically speaking there is no direct causal link between a vaccine of this type being delivered that leads to a blood clotting disorder. Whilst I look for the quote heres a prety good piece from the Grauniad. I'm not usually much of a fan of the Grauniad but this piece is very balanced. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/mar/15/evidence-oxford-vaccine-blood-clots-data-causal-links Quote

Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Dead right Blatters. I am saying that imminent death in that particular section of society is much more likely than in the general population and that the figures being bandied about regarding the hazards of a vaccine have to be looked at from that perspective. Incidentally, pre-pandemic I read somewhere that 85% of the money you cost the NHS in your lifetime on you is spent in the last eighteen months of your life on average. Quote

It's not really about those who are dying as such sad though that is, it's about those both who die after a long hospital stay, and those who don't but are gravely ill taking up hospital capacity that was tailored for a different time. If the infected got ill and died in, say, an hour or recovered in a week of hospital time, there wouldn't be a problem for NHS. It's the huge numbers taking up all the capacity and reducing access for other illnesses. As was said at the beginning, 'flatten the curve' to keep demand manageable. I'm not being callous but practical. Quote

BigSkyBrad Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Got mine yesterday, big sports arena 10+ rows, three booths each, very slick operation, I was only there 10 mins. Got the AZ vaccine, no side affects. Except this morning when I was giving a work colleague a bit of shtick, and she punched me in the arm, "Arggh, not that arm ya silly cow"! Though I probably deserved it. Quote
GaryD1971 Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Got my notification to book my jab come through from my local GP surgery this morning. Booked in for Monday afternoon. Must have started doing the under 50's cos that's what I am. Just...😆 1 Quote
DamperMan Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Jabbed yesterday 1am, very slick. It kind of felt a bit like the Olympics with loads of folk waving you though the maize to my Jab. My Wife had hers few weeks back and was soon in bed not to rise for 2 days. She's never knowingly under ill. Determined to be a "man" I've denied any ill effects to her. Although last night my heart was pumping slow and hard like to many coffees and I struggled to sleep past 3am sweating and rest less. Today I just feel tired from lack of sleep and bl**** freezing.
