"Tony Blair denies breaking coronavirus quarantine by going to restaurant after US trip".

"Tony Blair has denied claims he breached coronavirus quarantine restrictions by failing to self-isolate for 14 days upon returning to the UK from a trip to the US.

The former prime minister was pictured leaving a restaurant in London some 10 days after returning from a two-day trip to Washington last month, the Sunday Telegraph reports."

"Mr Blair had asked Whitehall officials for exemption from the rules, but was not issued with a formal letter which would have allowed him to avoid the two-week quarantine, according to the newspaper".

Seems Government diplomats and representatives at international conferences are granted "privileges and immunities", meaning they are not required to self-isolate if their work is confirmed as essential.    Is Blair working as a UK  diplomat or representative?

To correct some earlier stats. in this thread about Spain covid cases one month pre UK lockdown (23 Mar 2020) a figure of 2 was quoted but https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/spain/  is now showing 672 on 23 Feb 2020.

Spain covid cases on 11 mar 2020 (date Liverpool F.C. played Atlético Madrid) 25139 from worldometer.

I agree - take Ibiza for example. It’s a stunning island but we often just think of it purely in terms of the San Antonio rave scene.

Sadly us Brits abroad can often be complete knobheads.

I reject that. I'm a complete knobhead at home too...
