No AOs or previous winners?  I am surprised.

A few of the passes that we wanted to do where closed.

To get to the other side of the mountain you travel on these trains that carry the various vehicles trough the mountain.

They are really efficient and so easy to use.

Just make sure you don't have anything in the car that can blow out when going through.

It can get a bit expensive though if you have to use a few.

We travelled through various French villages and tried to keep of main roads where possible.

One village appeared to be very poor in parts and one extremely wealthy.

The first village in the video really does not show how "rustic" it was but I would have loved to have stayed there the night.

I was amazed at the length of the channel tunnel trains.

There carriages are split into two with and upper and lower deck.

Toilets where clean and I didn't check the time but it was only about 20 minutes to get through.....I think.

Absolutely brilliant Geoffrey. I kept expecting an explosion every time you went into a tunnel.

We played On Days Like These up every pass in Italy when we were there a couple of years ago.

Excellent.

We didn't get to do all the pass as it was closed further up due to late snow

Geoffrey. That video and music was brilliant. Well done. We are going to miss the daily updates.

Probably a cliché, a  car in the hills playing Matt Monroe, but yes, that's it. Just need to swap Buttercup for a Lamborghini Muira and watch out for bulldozers.

One of the things that amazed me was how safe everything felt.

We left our cars with keys in, satnavs and cameras etc.

This is a timber yard we passed on a main road and it was all open.

Can you imagine this happening in the UK.

One of the things I found very weird was driving through France.

We spent 4 days in total driving through and we went through dozens of villages and small towns.

It was so spooky as there are no people in France.

Where are they or did something just eat them.
