Well hears a big shout out of thanks to ash (rednop on the westfield forum) and Reid for speed motor factors in Aberdeen both went above and beyond to get the parts needed to me
So all sorted , road tested and ready for a wee romp up to catch the ferry int morning :d

Glad to hear you're back on the road again. Have a great time on Orkney and I'll see you Tuesday in Strathpeffer (or even Monday night if you're not too late getting there).

Just been watching the video from when I was following you up the Bealach and the rad blew. Trina was right when she said your car should be called White Cloud !

Left at 2.30 am and drove through freezing cold misty in the dark getting to gill bay just before 8am, coffee never tasted so good

So we’re all here on orkney and it’s brilliant  , not as dramatic as the west coast but awe inspiring and beautiful in its own way

so after the long bash up the east coast we took the ferry over and dropped off our bags and had a cuppa then off we went to the Italian chapel, it’s amazing to think all of the work was done by pow’s with very limited resources 

then on to the Churchill barriers and as the tide was starting to drop we could see the remains of some of the blockade boats that were sunk in the aproaches 

after this we had a mini adventure, we parked up and had a walk along the cliff tops to see the remains of the gun batteries protecting the approach to scapa flow

then Home for a bite to eat
