David-hrv Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Glad to hear you're back on the road again. Have a great time on Orkney and I'll see you Tuesday in Strathpeffer (or even Monday night if you're not too late getting there). Just been watching the video from when I was following you up the Bealach and the rad blew. Trina was right when she said your car should be called White Cloud ! 2 Quote

Gary Taylor Posted June 1, 2018 Author Posted June 1, 2018 So we’re all here on orkney and it’s brilliant , not as dramatic as the west coast but awe inspiring and beautiful in its own way so after the long bash up the east coast we took the ferry over and dropped off our bags and had a cuppa then off we went to the Italian chapel, it’s amazing to think all of the work was done by pow’s with very limited resources then on to the Churchill barriers and as the tide was starting to drop we could see the remains of some of the blockade boats that were sunk in the aproaches after this we had a mini adventure, we parked up and had a walk along the cliff tops to see the remains of the gun batteries protecting the approach to scapa flow then Home for a bite to eat 1 Quote
Gary Taylor Posted June 1, 2018 Author Posted June 1, 2018 And some more and it’s nearly 10pm and still broad daylight 3 Quote
