Gary Taylor Posted May 27, 2018 Author Posted May 27, 2018 Wow just over 300 miles today, an anxious moment when we met a tour bus on a blind corner on a single track road but visited the kelpies, met up with Terry and Geoffrey then up over the dukes pass, crisnlarich and glencoe had supper and went to Loch etive ( sky fall) drove back 13 miles of single track road , up down, left , right ..... in the dark ,.... absolutely stunning scenery, weather and great company 1 Quote

Gary Taylor Posted May 28, 2018 Author Posted May 28, 2018 Wow day two saw just over 200 miles, we did the commando memorial at spean bridge then had to say goodbye to Terry Brown safe trip home pal and hope to see you again So off we went to glenfinnan to see the viaduct and the Jacobite monument and on the way there there’s a fella stood up in an mx5 shouting “ it’s buttercup”, if your on here hi, then took the most amazingly twisty and beautiful road around ardnamuchan to Salem then a tiny single track road out to the peninsula and back 25 mile each way lol, then back up to the mallaig road where we headed for Home all in the greatest weather you could wish for 3 Quote

Gary Taylor Posted May 29, 2018 Author Posted May 29, 2018 Day three, we left glencoe and met David at the commando memorial before heading off Sky was a bit misty but soon cleared off to nice sunshine so we climbed over the hill to glenelg for the wee ferry to skye , this HAS to be on your to do list.... boning back over the bridge through plockton and on to applecross pass then disaster my radiator burst on the side almost at the top of the pass so a wee hiatus while I get a radiator / fan fitted and then we will be back in action sunburnt, happy and on holibobs Quote
