I'll personally double the value of first prize in 2018 if you can beat 9270 miles. Ali and Gail excluded of course. 1 1 Quote

Great result and I'm sure it's pure co-incidence that all 4 of the above have had opportunity to wave cake in front of Julie! Luckily her morals are much higher than those in Parliament! 1 2 Quote
Captain Colonial Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Congrats to all, wish I could bottle up the enthusiasm Ali and Gail have and sell it, I’d make a fortune! 3 Quote
Popular Post Ali and Gail Posted November 14, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 14, 2017 Firstly can I thank @Julie Hall - AO Representative, Peak District AO for organising the "Battle of the ODO's" Congratulations to @AndrewBClarke and @Trevturtle on their efforts for 2nd and 3rd Quite a few of you know that we started a "Silver gap year" in May and pretty much spent most dry days between May and mid October touring the UK in our Westy, having this time allowed to rack the mileage up and wreck our savings, indeed we spent over 3 months on days out and mega road trips. We've made and met along the way many other club members who have been most welcoming, given advice, planned routes and ate cake, lots of cake. We have only been with the club 2 years since we got Mrs P but what a way to spend a summer living out of a Westfield and bag strapped to the roll bar. We can't imagine not having a Westy in our garage. We even ran out of clean clothes so bought new as we went, a "Rock and roll" life style I know! Were currently in India for a month before we head on to tour South Asia until April, but we are so looking to connecting the battery and blasting up the road when we get back. See you on the glorious roads of the UK next spring ish! Ali and Gail 13 Quote
AndrewBClarke Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Sorry for taking such a long time to comment - been to the dentist and lost. Thanks to Julie for running the competition. It was clearly worthwhile letting you taste that salted caramel cake! Well done to Ali & Gail. Quite remarkable. You must have mastered the ‘travelling light’ needed to be away so long in a Westfield. Three days away has been our limit so far! Thanks again Andrew & Clare 2 Quote
