All clean and ready for a blat!

After getting caught out in a hail storm yesterday, the Westy needed a good clean. Hailstones are quite painful when they hit your forehead at 70mph!

Here she is ready for the next outing.

Lovely car, just needs a 3/4 front plate for an extra 10 mph and less speed hump issues :t-up:

Gorgeous!

And here's how they look with the slightly smaller front plate. The font and spacing are not mickey takingly small, though the plate size is as small as it really can be with a still "legal" font.

(I didn't say legal on what, though!)

Like the look of that front plate @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary

It looks more in proportion with the nose whereas mine looks huge!

What headlamps have you got fitted?

@CraigHew I always use Autoglym car shampoo followed by Autoglym Aqua Wax which I like cos its easy to apply and remove and gets rid of all the watermarks.

Furore Cars 5 3/4" LED units, a bit of a faff to fit, but the light is superb*

*unless I happen to behind you at night, when you might think differently! (I get made to go at the front quite a lot now, after dark).

Is the outer ring DRLs

Yes DRL/indicators. Then LED dipped and LED mainbeam elements. No sidelights as such, so I fitted a pair of dimmed output LED lights below the headlamps, to act as side lights.

You can see them lit up here:

I really like those headlights, Dave. Did you have to resize the bezel to fit? Was that difficult if so?

They look the business

I've just bought some 9000 lumen LED bulbs to retrofit into my standard 4" headlights. Can't wait to get them fitted as the standard bulbs don't seem that bright.

Not sure just how they're measuring that, (some very strange ways of massaging the total are often used with LEDs), mine are supposed to be 3850 lumens on main beam and 2400 on dipped; which will cast shadows from the car ahead, even though they have their own lights on!

(Conventional halogen equivalent, I believe is 750/850 lumens!)

For all that though, I've seen some of the H4 LED replacement lamps in operation and they're damned impressive.
