Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Some great suggestions, about the only thing you can guarantee is that you'll end up picking the wrong one, I always seem to I do like the look of the early Alfa's but like Integrale's they are already making big money. First Lotus Elan, or the wedge shaped ones ?? Quote

Very pretty in an aggressive/I'm going to tear your face off kinda way. Excellent performance with solid reliability. That's where my money would be going. If I had any.... Prompted by this....and the fact i've always admired them, I had a quick look. Gulp. £40k gets you one that needs an entire new interior and is in need of a proper strip down and refurb. Willing to spend £100k and you might get a nice one...... Think I'll stick with the Premium Bonds. 2 Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 ...rock solid reliability. Is this 'cause any that are left have been rebuilt, and somewhat better than Lancia managed? I've always loved the Integrale, but the ones I remember a customer having, (he had three over the years, all new, starting with the original 8 valve model and ending with the evo version) all had him moaning about the garage time they needed, and how often the suspension gel seemed to drift. Mind you, I remember him giving me a ride over the Cat and Fiddle in the middle one he owned, a 16 Valve, and dear god, I don't think I've ever been over the roads so fast, Westfields included Utterly, utterly awesome car, cross country. 1 Quote
