Can I start a petition "apposing" petition starters who can't spell? And it's "who oppose", not "that appose (sic)", as well as "and the U.K", not "and U.K.". Also, please go buy a few commas. /grammar and spelling rant off Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 The petition hasn't been running long and it has 122,586 clicks already. Quote

DamperMan Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 We've had state visits from loads of far far less savory figures. Its about trade and forging relationships. And this one we're hoping to do some trade deals with which would benefit us greatly in light of a little vote last year. Our other friends across Europe won't be looking to make mutually beneficial trade deals so we need to do something. IMO the petition jockies might not get why it has important. I'm afraid the moral high ground won't put food on the table. Quote

woodman Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 I think it is worth signing this petition to allow trump to visit to redress the balance . Lets see if the Biased Brodcasting corp mention it Quote
DamperMan Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 I've voted and even shared it on faceache. I can think of at least half a dozen "friends" who will be outraged... I treat it like sport Quote

Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 The competing petition should not be saying that Trump should be invited, but that no attempt to stop the existing invitation should be allowed to succeed. It doesn't imply approval, but does say that the rabble cannot be permitted to influence the majority. Quote
