Thrustyjust Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Otrivine is OMG !! What it has done is made me feel human again. Wife got me some this afternoon and the nose is now clear, ears arent whistling , heads not thumping and I feel great !! Never thought decongestants had ever made a difference to me before, but this has hit the spot. Apparently I still sound croaky, but I feel so much more alive. Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 I use Vicks Sinex - very good but can make your nose sore with prolonged use Quote
DonPeffers Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 5 days continuous use is max. for these decongestants. More can damage nasal tissue. Quote
SootySport Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 It's my throat that's suffering, feels like a wire brush is stuck in there, I'm using Broncold, it helps a lot. Quote

Yes I believe that's right. I have tried Sudafed tablets and they work well too. The problem for me is that I have an enlarged prostate gland and the Sudfed exacerbates the symptoms. I could end up with acute urine retention. The last time I tried them was before I had the prostate bored out (TURP procedure), perhaps they would be okay now, I don't like to take the risk. Quote
