This thread is for the official serious side to the WSCC track day

The WSCC Blyton Sprint Weekend is nearly here and we will be holding a club Trackday on Friday 8th July.

All WSCC members are welcome, especially members who have not tried a Trackday before.

We will run 1 off 20 minute sessions in the first hour to allow Novices to go at their own pace without the more experienced drivers. The rest of the time will be on an open trackday basis, up to the maximum no on track at a time.

Only On-line booking is available

http://www.blytonsprintweekend.co.uk/the-track-day/

Plan for the Day (subject to change)

7.30-8.30 Signing on
8.30 Briefing
9.00 Sighting laps
9.20 Novice runs
9.40 Open session
12.00 Lunch & Sprint School
1.00 Novice runs
1.20 Open session

5.00 Close of play.
7:30 the GF meal

We are looking at having a number of instructors on the day that can be booked on a first come first served basis on the day.

There is overnight camping if you would like to stay and compete or watch the Sprint over the weekend. If you would like to experience Motorsport even more then you could volunteer for Marshalling / helping out.

There are only 45 places for this and they will be open to WSCC Members together with any WSCC Weekend Sprint competitors (except single seaters) first. If by the 1st July 2014 there are still places available, then we will offer 1/2 Day slots, as expected last year there was a big take up on these

We hope to see you there.

Cheers

Is it 'Westys' only or can other cars ( MX5) join in if they are WSCC members?

What's it like at Blyton ? Looking on google maps it looks like a piece of waste land.

Barry it's a great track to drive. Not up there with the established Anglesey and Pembreys but very enjoyable. The owner Richard has clearly put a lot of investment into the facility and each year I've been there had been an

Improvement.

A 4 hour schlep from WSM....should be a good weekend from a social point of view, but does the track itself warrant a 4 hour drive, not IMO.

I agree, alrhough flat it's great little track that punches higher than it looks like it would. More technical than first appears.

Add to that an excellent club social weekend with good numbers attending from the club including many non Sprinters. & it's family friendly if you so wish.

Although personal preferences will always vary, WELL Worth it IMO
