If Zcars get away doing that in the mid engined minis, so can they with their restomod... at least their engine is in the same (ish) position!

Dvla have actually contacted some zcar mini owners requiring IVA tests be carried out. Unfortunately the cat is out of the bag there

Homemade Smiths-like gauges.
That's my type of overkill.

Can't wait.

Sad to admit but I’m bored of it now.

I keep wondering how The Escargot progressed

Does feel like they are milking it just for the views doesn't it.  I too wanted to know what happened to The Escargot. Guess it didn't get the views they wanted?

...just looked, Ep 5 of Le Truck got over 500k views after 2 years, last proper Binky got 720k in just over 6 months.  The seat trimming etc not done so well on views.

Haven't seen them drive the car yet, on the road or in anger.  Just bits of the build re-hashed.

The door locking mechanisms must have taken some effort.

The last seconds showing all the bits bought was an eye opener

Going down that rabbit hole is one of the main things that caused my build to grind to a halt. Mad indeed

I was amazed by the amount of burnt arduinos.

The only explanation I could figure is a batch of 3.3v ordered (and they don't like being fed 5v, oh no).

I think next episode they'll get rid of the microservos, I purchased the best nano class servo money could buy for my gauge interpretation, funnily enough very smiths lookalike, and they all drift eventually

Servo potentiometer feedback is not consistent, that's why you have trims on a radio control transmitter.

I ended up with a stepper motor for that reason, even if i don't like the init dance..
