My dad and I build our Westfield back in 1989 when I was 14.

Started driving it when I was 18 and sprinting with my dad from 1995 to 2011.

Cant see it going anywhere soon.

I'm 51 and have wanted a Westfield for many years. It was confirmed when I went out in my mates Hyabusa powered Westfield about 13 years ago.

I bought my Westfield 5 years ago as an unfinished project. It was 90% complete but it had been built over a period of about 6 years and to the earlier SVA regs. The build quality was good but I had the challenge of finishing off minor items and getting it through the IVA rather than SVA. I did this as quickly as I could during Nov and Dec of 2010 and got an IVA pass having driven to the test station while snowing and without any wet weather gear!

Since then I have just about changed and tinkered with almost every part of it, and really like working on it, driving it on the road and have done many track days.

I wish.

As of today the total age of the 77 Westfield owners in Highlander's post is 3,595 years. That's an average of 47 years.

20's - 8.

30's - 14.

40's - 20.

50's - 22.

60's - 12.

70's - 1.

My school report used to say 'average' in some subjects and I thought that nobody could complain. I got 'could do better' too but I aspired to mediocre as that kept me out of trouble.  :durr:

Usually blokes buy something like a Westfield in their Mid Life Crisis, about mid 40's.   I started my Mid Life Crisis in the mid 40's and I'm still there at 64.   So on my authority Westfields keep you young  and cool.
