Paul Morcom Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I will take that as a special request. Oh great V-Jelly maker........ Can you also use Tonic Water or preferably Champagne rather than water when making . Please don't overheat the mix as this will cause the alcohol to evaporate Quote
stephenh Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Before booking a Pub for Sat night it may be worth looking at whats on offer at the clubhouse. I am sure it will be open I attended the HSA dinner there and had an excellent meal. Also would save any driving The final instructions indicate that evening meals will be available, but have to be booked so speak to the caters during the day. However for those intending to camp on Friday night, note that there is a private function in the club house that night, so you will need to be self-sufficient as regards food that night, or book a table at a local pub/restaurant on the Friday. Final instructions actually state... Friday evening, 13th June: A private function will be taking place in the main room of the Club House. However, food and drink will be available at the Bar area of the building, directly opposite the bridge. Quote

Marto303 Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 Anyone got any spare wrist bands? We are hoping to see a number of the local WSCC club members and a few wrist bands will save them a few quid. Defo 2 spare for both days here, hope someone can make use of them Quote

windy Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 What's the plan for food on Friday night then? BBQ in the orchard (if it's allowed) or meal in the bar? Seem to be a lot of rules about where trailers must go, where my van has to be parked, and where my competing car is to be parked. I hope I'm not going to have unload all this at 10pm on Friday night when I arrive & it's dark! I can't even bring my bike to cycle to the pub! It says they are banned too Quote
alexander72 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Windy, I went to a minor public school and as such if I have my rugger socks on I can open one window and shut one eye and drive everyone home from the pub :-) (joke) BBQ in the cider orchards sounds good for friday! Quote
Marto303 Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 Graham BBQ sounds great for Friday, I'll even help you set up in the dark in exchange for some pointers on how to drive this hill "FAST" I have to keep up with my class B competition ( Filfan, Lee & Christian ) and the rest of the novice contingent in particular ( James & the mighty crossflow ) Quote
windy Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Oooh I could also dare to drive out of the venue with my numbers on - just spotted that rule too!!!!!!!! Best check whether we are allowed BBQs first do you think. Martin I can't remember whether I've ever driven at Prescott - think not. New to me too!!!!! I think I'm going to concentrate on the trailer parking. I think that is going to be more of a challenge than the hill by the sounds of it. Quote
Terry Everall Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 All the separated parking of trailer, tents, tow car competition car is what put me off going so I will be interested to know how things work out Quote
XTR2Turbo Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I don't think Prescott is really any different to Shelsley or Loton. Other than for a handful of cars (normally the top single seaters), no trailers in the paddock. There is a field opposite to leave trailers and a separate field to camp / motorhomes. My experience, as a spectator rather than a competitor, is that most of the motorhomes seem to keep their trailers with the motorhome as too tight for them getting in and out of the trailer park. Looking at where we are in the paddock it is possible to park a car to one side and on the banking above the Paddock if dry but I think space for only 10 or so cars. there is also a small trailer park at the end of upper paddock but again only for 10 or so trailers. Graham, if you are arriving at 10pm I would just go in the main gate and turn right following the gravel road. and park to the right past the Bugatti Trust building facing the hedge running along the main public road where other motorhomes will be and then in the morning drive your car from there up to your paddock space. You won't need to go on the road as you can turn right onto the hill as you come back out just before the main entrance and immediately left into the paddock and then drive up the hill to upper paddock where we will be. Quote
Paul Morcom Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Prescott is a "compact" venue and in fact none of the trailer/car parking is very far from the paddock. I plan to park up the motorhome in the bottom (just past the Bugatti Museum) part of the orchard. I think there is a bar and food available on Friday evening (just over the foot bridge from the orchard parking/camping) but a BBQ etc sound good. Saturday the big WSCC table in the Club House sound like a good call. Quote
