I believe the 3+ Silver will be £279 RRP, and the standard WSCC GoPro Discount of 7% will apply to these. There will be no group buy / extra discount for them just yet, sorry.

Just 1 question though, I charged it today and within half an hour of fiddling getting the iphone app set up the battery is now flat  What is the expected video recording time from a std fully charged battery ?

I got a couple of hours recording at 720/60 on Friday. Only used wifi for checking the aim of the camera, turned it off after that. Suspect that's a bit of a killer on the battery front!

Also happy with my lot Adam  as said you had no idea GoPro were releasing an "updated" version by what I have read about the only major things are a wider angle view and low light levels enhanced and a few tweaks here and there..

Martin, half an hour sounds fairly quick, however it will be working pretty hard to do the setup. You should be able to get about an hour and a half or recording from a charge, and as Dommo says turning everything non-essential off will give a bit more life. I wrote a bit of a guide about this recently, will dig out the post in a few mins.

 

There's some info near the bottom of the 'Technical Specs' tab in the link below, too. It refers to the 3+ but if you deduct 25% from all the recording times that will be about right: http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-hero3-black-edition

Yep, the wife's account is a bit lighter... And had text's from currior ten mins after payment clear to tell me the camera would arrive 18 hours later! Only issue is the wait till Christmas. Although the wife has googled how to make a cat mount... Let hope he comes back!

Thanks Stephen - it is a slightly unique circumstance as our courier picks up at around 4 and we'd finished all the other orders yesterday when yours came through (allowing us to get straight onto it), but the Interlink updates service is really really handy, they are the best courier we've used to date
