Having found out what you meant by ‘watch Julie’s rear end’, I thought it was remarkable that any perceived error I made was on camera but on an occasion where Julie makes a mistake, your camera is mysteriously not available. This leads to the obvious conclusion that there may have been an element of bribery to prevent publication. Maybe the three pieces of cake offered to ‘forget your camera’ has lead to the ‘pleasantly plump’ (to use your description) back side ?? Now you’ve been ‘outed’ maybe you could add the incriminating evidence that Julie does indeed make very rare mistakes so that the rest of us can have a really good laugh. 🤪

Found a Westfield replacement.

Hi, New to the forum and westfield ownership. I've bought a Mega S2000 on Saturday. What a car. Loving it so far. I believe the car is known to the forum already. My previous car was a busa powered, rear engined car. A mevabusa. So I am enjoying the better practical experience with the cec. I also feel more comfortable taking my kids in it, especially being fully caged. My 1st question, is there anything I should really know about the S2000 and if there's anything to keep an eye on? straight off, I need to figure how to upload photos easily Cheers Dean

Welcome from South Derbyshire! A red Toybox MegaS2000, they are just so common! Here's mine (with the aero screen) meeting another 😂 There are a few of us about (lots more knowledgeable than me!) that will be able to advise on the S2000. Things off the top of my head are, they can use a bit of oil (normal but stay on top of it), timing chain tensioners are known to get noisy on the F20c (a simple swap if it happens) and the clutch pedal can be overly heavy (a simple master cylinder upgrade will help if it hasn't already been done). Apart from a clutch failure (the builder of my car used a "genuine uprated clutch" from Ebay that was anything but genuine or uprated 🤦‍♂️😂) my car has been superb in the 14,000 (very fast) miles I've covered.

I had a run out to Curborough in the sunshine yesterday morning, and joined a couple of other Westfields and said hello to @Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO @Rob Hunter - Club Secretary and @HB46443 while I was there. Several nice looking Ferraris at the event!

I can honestly say that no bribe was accepted, or offered. We were that busy saving the cricket clubs netting, there was sadly no time for picture taking.

Doing some hedge trimming and fence repairs. Yuk. Technically, it’s the neighbours responsibility for the fence, but circumstances and my personal preference mean I’m doing it. Neighbours are perfectly happy for me to do it(!). Did a section a while back where some panels had totally rotted away but more is now falling down by the drive at the side of the house, and conifers my side of the boundary are encroaching so need to go. As far as I can tell, a fence was put up back in the distant past, then the neighbour at the time planted a row of conifers all the way from their house to the far end of the property….then previous owners of my house planted a second row from a little further down to the garage, sandwiching part of the original fence. This means that most of the of fence isn’t visible from the neighbours side, but most of it is from mine. At the bottom, past the garage down to the end, again, no conifers my side so I had the joy of replacing their rotten fence. This second row of conifers by the drive, has, as they do, encroached and needs to go. First step, remove our conifers…… This was the first half hour or so as I got used to the chainsaw. Remains of the old fence held up by the conifers. Have now removed all 50 feet or so and all the trunks & roots. Generated about 18 bulk bags of crap so far, but all the old fence and a fair bit more trimming still to go as I need to make sure the conifers that remain don’t overhang or interfere with the new fence, plus any more rubble etc that planting the new fence generates. Going to need a big skip….. Somewhat troubling is there is a similar situation the other side, but this time the conifers are all my side of the boundary, and there are about 100 feet of them. Gulp. I’m too old for this shizz! (But too tight and too picky to pay anyone to do it)

As Andy said, a brilliant day out, that is one good route up there on the tops of Buxton especially in this clear air. It is Drive it Day today so it was great to see so many unusual cars on the roads too. We met at Cupola The Westfield's started gathering All the other cars were blue today, even Billy's Porche is blue The motorbikes have now discovered this new venue Bonnet's soon came off as the advice flowed After breakfast (thank you for the black pudding ABC)we set off and had a great time on the twisties of Buxton before relaxing on the final mile or so behind the inevitable wobblebox to land at Quacker's cafe. In the car park at Quacker's were the Jaguar Club, making for a wonderful display. This car is a SS100, well, we don't think it is actually, we think it is made of fibreglass so it's definitely not a 1939 car. I was a interested in the name, the SS stands for Swallow Sidecar (SS Cars Ltd used to build sidecars) and 100 is the theorectical maximum speed. It was a beautiful looking car and I think it was probably brand new, it looked it. Lunch at Quackers Apology for the rubbish photo, someone forgot her camera so it was all done from my phone, the breakfast one in Cupola was even worse, grrrrr. Let us know how your daughter went on in the London Marathon @ianali and the other Ian @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AOon the parade in Windsor, how exciting. Hey Phil, haha yeah I was panicking when I couldn't post the picture straight away. I am up in the North of Northumerland. Me and my eldest were looking to build. We've just overhauled a gen 1 busa engine and have a 3.14 diff to match. But when we seen this red beauty come up, it took some man maths to convince the wife, this was a better solution. We are beyond happy with it so far.

Entirely not car related, but has been taking time away from fixing my car so now it’s done I can get the car sorted. We decorated my daughter’s playroom for her 10th birthday back in March and she was promised a desk, so I made this. Based around IKEA drawers salvaged from an old chest of drawers which has gone to the tip. All made from 12 and 18mm ply, drawer fronts refaced too to get rid of the MDF or whatever they use. I have finally taught myself how to use a router properly, and this project is the first not to have blood stains under the paintwork which I guess must be progress 🤣🤣

Well Julie what a fabulous day driving around the Peaks we all had. Another beautiful route and fantastic weather. The sky was so blue and the sun was finally out and topped off with great company. Some great classic car out and about too. When we got to Quackers there was a Jaguar meet also.😎

Not Westfield but definitely car related OSF fog light on wife's car not working. Should be a 5 minute job to change the bulb....... The only way to get to the back of the fog light unit is to remove the front bumper. Which also required removal of front wheels to allow the inner arch liners to be removed to get to the bumber fixings. Ministry of crap design. Once the bumber was removed I could get access to the unit and found that the earth had come off the lamp unit. So 3 hours of my life I won't get back but at least I know how the bumber comes off 😛

Hi, has anyone bought the pods from Westfield (carbon effect rear lights) if so, do they come pre cut/shaped to fit the bodywork? Managed to break my OS pod somehow, last one was a pain to shape and thought if Westfields were pre done, I’d shell out for the real McCoy 🤷‍♂️ cheers Mike

Haha and here's me thinking I was buying a rare car. The red and black though is so nice in the sun. Here's mine with a sierra DOHC based car we built when I was in school, following the Ron Champion book. Ours is full stainless steel chassis and independent rear suspension rather than the escort axel the book called for. Me old man has just ordered a set of LED headlights to upgrade his though, after seeing mine. Thanks for the tips Rob, it's just had a service, so I'll keep checking to see how she goes over the summer. The car is currently intermittently missing a cylinder, so I've 4 coil packs on order. Hopefully that sorts it and it's not an early headache starting in the 1st days of ownership. It's not been enough to take the smile off my face just yet.

For anyone interested, the first Norfolk Cars & Coffee event takes place this Sunday (April28th) at The Old Ram, Ipswich Road, NR15 2DE between 9am and Midday. I plan to go if it's not raining but, sadly, the forecast is currently not looking good.

Love the smell of plywood and mostly plain wood while cutting etc . Miss those when only metal glasssfiber oil etc with cars ... Nice but is not pole position as wood.

I swear they make cars these days to deliberately ensure most people can't work on them and have to go to a garage. Absolute nightmare compared to the days of my real passion for cars in the late 70s and 80s, everything seemed so much simpler then. For me at least 😂

Decent progress being made now, back on it's wheels after the front end rebuild and on a transporter to the painter on Friday evening 👍 I'm getting the roll bar repainted too, can anyone tell me the rose joint sizes as they seem to be different on top and bottom?
