Quick run up on Dartmoor today, great to have a bit of sun for a change! This picture makes me realise I need to get some spacers fitted for the rears, wheels look a little lost. Photography skills need working on also!

After nearly a year of problems, I'm back on the road, shiny re-lacquered carbon bits are amazing!

Saw the predecessor to the Testarossa at Donington a couple of weeks ago, it was one of my dream cars as a kid and not seen one in years!

I've recently did my V8 bonnet vents using some mesh and these 3D printed press templates. You can find the 3D model files in my post here, but I appreciate that not everyone has access to a printer or the skills to design something themselves. So I'd like to hereby offer these free of charge to members who can then use them to press bonnet vents in his/hers preferred mesh. All I'm asking is to cover the postage to your address and once you're finished with them, offer them up to the next person under the same terms. @HB46443 has first dibs 👍

Now that Westfield are no longer making the MegaS2000 and now we have two in my hometown, Karl and I thought we would try an experiment..... Anyone know the gestation period of a Westfield and how big the litter is likely to be!? 😂

Great day had by all. No rain but a fantastic sun tan. On our maintenance day we found cracked fuel and coolant hoses. Loose nose cone and cycle wings amongst other things. Some fixed on site. Well done to all and roll on the next adventures.

Just noticed why you are a clever bloke. The line in the middle of this piece is to make sure the grill is straight when looked horizontal. 🙌 Another made. Along with an eclectic mix of 80 other cars, participated in Minehead Motor Club’s Spring Tour today. As usual, a very enjoyable ~70 mile run around the country lanes of the Quantock and Brendon Hills on the Somerset/Devon border. As expected plenty of mud and standing water about, at least the ford was shallow! Guess this week I’ll be cleaning the car!

Just out and about yesterday in the TToS, actually to and from Yeovil hospital and on the way I saw a green and ali Caterham. Heading home, there was a lovely red (of course) Testarossa (1980s vintage, not the original). I was able to follow it for a little while; not seen one for ages and it brought back memories of when I used to have a poster on my wall as a teen, along with the obligatory Countach. So, seen anything nice or unusual whilst out and about?

Just a bit of a social. 10am Doddington Hall car park LN6 4RU then into the restaurant for coffee/cake/breakfast then move on to Lincoln Bomber Command (LN4 2HQ) for lunch (and a free guided tour if you would like). I have time pressures so will have to depart to come home soon after lunch but obviously it’s upto everyone else what they want to do.

Looks like it. Just been googling how to tell it apart from the 365 GT4 BB, I think the front spoiler shows it’s a 512 but not totally sure. Both lovely of course.

Followed a McLaren P1 earlier, lovely thing. Then it turned off into Asda and I’ve spent the afternoon wondering how he got on with the horrendous speed bumps they’ve got in that car park 🤣

Good advice above from @Quinten there's nothing standard on a Westfield and there's a good chance the holes in your bonnet may be different sizes to his, so check before posting the molds away.

I would not cut it until you are re-united with the bonnet. You can always cut more, but never add back again!

An enjoyable day of spannering in the 🌞! An oil and filter change, swapped over the wheels to my silver set and torqued up, checked all the pressures of the ZZR's, refitted the de-cat pipe (MOT was a week ago), replaced the W4 stainless Mikalor exhaust clamp (the old W2 had given up the ghost when I fitted the cat and had the horrible U-bolt type as a quick fix), a 20 minute wash and polish (the joy of Carplan No1 Super Gloss!), quick test drive to Halfrauds for some more glysantin G30 and she's all ready for Kitfest tomorrow. The old jalopy isn't looking too bad, the dailies are looking filthy now though 🤦‍♂️😂 Before: After:

Sandwich the mesh between the male and female press templates. Use two planks of wood to spread the force equally on the outside of the templates. Clamp them together with some clamps Put in a vice and squeeze

The National Kit Car Show, Three Counties Showground Malvern: Here's what happens on the biggest club stand of the show and some of the benefits of being a member Club Marquee & Gazebo Westfield Avenue parking Member Autojumble - buy and sell parts free of charge WSCC Scalextric WSCC PS4 Racing Sim Member's drop off area (helmets, coats and bags that you don’t want to carry around all day) AGM Saturday 16:00 to 17:00 Post AGM catered Hog Roast / BBQ / Sounds (with some beer/food supplied by the WSCC for club members) Display Cars 'Bonnets off' at midday on both day Manning the stand- We aim to ask volunteers to staff the club stand for two hours periods. The more volunteers the less we’ll all have to do. Use it as an opportunity to meet other members you wouldn’t normally meet. We typically need 20 volunteers per day to run all the various activities. This number allows us not to commit you to any more than a two hour stint. Meeters and Greeters- We are also looking to boost the number of meeters and greeters. This is important as Members and the public will need to: · Discuss the cars, membership · The meeters and greeters will also be assigned some organisational responsibilities (e.g. checking volunteers have arrived). Parking - We’ll have parking marshals to help you create Westfield Avenue and direct display cars into the marquee Gazebo or additional display areas. When you arrive to park up we ask that you follow the parking marshals directions as coordinating the placement of 150+ Westfields can be a little like herding cats. Cars for Sale- If you have a car for sale, please tell the marshals and they will direct you to the marquee or external Cars for sale area, where you will be able to park up and display your vehicle with a for sale sign. Tintop Parking- For tintops, vans and trailers, we aim to have parking near to the WSCC camp site. Further details on this will be made available closer to. Camping- Camping on the WSCC plot is available to all WSCC members. · Electricity hook-ups available · It can be a quiet place post show, so if you are the party type, the public area has more of a party atmosphere · Camping will be roped off and monitored by WSCC Members. WSCC Annual General Meeting (AGM)- The club’s AGM will be held on Saturday 1st June at 4.00pm The venue for the AGM will be the WSCC marquee, please make every effort to attend, it's your Club and the AGM is the opportunity for you to tell the Committee and your fellow Members what you think, what you want and what you don't like. We will be providing additional chairs for those members who wish to sit for the meeting and will be asking all non WSCC members to vacate the marquee prior to the AGM. Please also keep all exterior noise down whilst the AGM is underway. I had to deliver something I had sold to a place called Thurloxton near Taunton today, and decided to take Winston because the weather was so nice. Some cracking roads and some dull roads, but really enjoyed the drive. Stopped on the Coombe Farm approach road on the way back for some pics. On the way out on the A30, I exchanged waves with a BRG and yellow Westfield, not sure if it is anyone on here? Also had a number of chats with people who were interested in the car when I parked up, plus a ‘That’s a really cool car’ and a thumbs up from a young girl out with her mum 😊.

Opps. I only paid attention to what the signed actually said after I'd already parked up.

The problem with harnesses is that they work best with race seats, where each strap passes through a slot in the seat, which helps keep the strap in it's intended position. On 5/6-points, the crotch strap needs to pass through the seat just in front of your business. The other thing I see is the number of harnesses used with the factory tombstone-backed seats where the shoulder straps pass around the seat back, rather than through it. Unless you or your passenger have Olympic swimmer wide shoulders, in an accident your shoulders will very potentially slip through. My missus is petite, so I had no desire to swap out the 3-point retractor belts on our Westy. Here's something I found to think about... Typical g-forces in a motor-vehicle collision. According to GSU's HyperPhysics Project, a 160 lb person—wearing a seat belt and traveling at only 30 miles per hour—experiences around 30 g's of force in a front-end collision with a fixed object. That's 2.4 tons of force acting on the body! Apologies for kidnapping the Look at my Lovely Day thread, please resume the great pics.

@Benrobson2999 - Kent AO I know I harp on about this a lotwhenever I see a pic posted on the forum, but your passenger's harness is woefully mal-adjusted. In an accident, she would 'submarine' under the belt and down into the foot well, and the cross-strap/buckle would wreck havoc with her chesticles/armpits/throat/neck. Most lay-passengers aren't clued on the intricacies of harness adjustment, so it's up to the captain to ensure the passenger is safe and instructed. You probably already do the following yourself self- consciously, but loosen off the shoulder straps fully and get the passenger (and help if necessary) to tighten down the hip straps first. For the first seating of the day's run, it maybe easier to sort the passenger before you climb into your side. Folks, notice I said hip straps, and not waist or stomach straps. Only then, once the hip strap is snug and tight, are the shoulder straps adjusted snug against the chest but not too tight that they are trying to hoick the hip strap up. If you have multiple passengers, they are all different shapes and sizes and the procedure needs to be followed for each. I'm an ex-Airforce flight safety tech dealing with ejection seat and parachute harnesses, so this stuff has been drilled into me - and I wish everyone in any kind of harness the best chances of survival when s*** happens.👍
