  1. Last year I had Buttercup rebuilt by Luke at Playskool. I am extremely happy with the work Luke carried but the work was all hidden below the bodywork. I felt that the body was letting the car down a little as there where various marks and scuffs from her 19 years. I did discuss with Luke about having a new body but I decided this option wasn't for me. I also thought about wrapping but again decided against it. I saw a car that had been painted by Aaran on this forum, and through the owner I made contact with Aaran. I had various conversations with him and travelled down to Horncastle so we could agree what needed to be done and a price. On the day of taking her down, I was still unsure if I really wanted or needed the work to be done but after collecting the car, I am so pleased that I had the work carried out. I cannot thank Aaran of AJ Restorations enough for his work and attention to detail. Here is a link with plenty of pictures in case you would like to have a look. <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fmedia%2Fset%2F%3Fset%3Da.1197658287079801%26type%3D3&width=500" width="500" height="745" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allow="encrypted-media"></iframe>

  3. I'm putting my pride & joy up for sale. I have owned the car for just over 4 years. I've spent at lot of time and money getting the car to the spec it is today and will genuinely be a sad to see her go but it’s time to move on and work though my must haves list. I’ve just gone though all the invoices totalling up everything during my ownership and I’ve spent just under 13k not including the purchase price. In my opinion in it's current spec it’s the perfect balance for a fast road weekend track toy. . Full spec & photos listed: -Westfield SEI registered in 94 Engine and Runing gear: *Raceline phase 3 blacktop create engine - fully balanced bottom end built up with ARP bolts. 11:1 compression ratio. Gas flowed ported and polished head fitted with RL200 cams and Kent vernier pulleys. Done three thousand miles. - fitted Aug 18 *Bosch 440cc injectors *Dunell sump *Jenvey 45mm throttle bodies *100mm thrumets and ITG filter. -New Mar 17 *Westfield exhurst manifold and Westfield silencer *Coolex 42mm alloy radiator - new Jan 17 *Ash hoses. - New Jan 19 *Odyssey Pc680 light weight battery *Edge lightweight alternator *Omex 600 ECU *Swirl pot and Sytec fuel filter fitted in the boot box *Alloy catch tank 202 BHP 174Lb of Torque *3.9 LSD in Westfield casing *BGH type 9 (Long First) with lubrication mod and large roller race laygear *Tracsport alloy bell housing - new Jan 18 *Hydraulic clutch *Westfield (High Spec) 4 pot front callipers - new May 18 *Twin master cylinder *Drums on the rear (lighter than disc's) *Braided brake lines all round - new May 18 *Mtec drilled and grooved disc's - new May 18 *Adjustable brake bias *Floor mounted pedal box *Widetrack - New Nov 16 *2.4 quick rack New Nov 16 *Protech shocks with correct valving supplied by procomp Interior *Tillett W1 seats *Luke 4 point harnesses *Momo 27 290mm quick release wheel. - new Jan 19 *ETB gauges *Battery cut off *Push button start on custom under dash panel. Exterior *Standard westfield (narrow) white main body. Black nose cone. Cone, skuttle and bonnet new from Westfield during my ownership. *CRX 13" alloys *A048 tyres - New Jan 19 *Playskool MSA roll bar. - New Oct 18 Carbon - all supplied by Mark at carbon NV Front arches Dash Flared side panels Tunnel Top Rear arch protectors Interior side panels Boot box Rear pannel behind seats (slight bubble in lamination) Aero screen - All bought new from mark over the last 4 years. Full suspension and geometry set up by Matt at pro comp. recently mapped with print out. The car weighs just over 540kg giving a power to weigh ratio of around 374bhp per ton. The car is a dream to drive with a great delivery all the way to the red line. Recent engine, gearbox and diff oil change. 12.3.19 MOT until March 2020. The bad bits Theres always a to do list with kit cars but I believe in being up front when selling a car. There are a few marks here and there on the bodywork. In my opinion it's in really good shape considering its age. Type 9 has a slight weep as they do. I’ve used the car for Sunday drives, B road blasts and occasional track day. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with her whether that be on a track day or Sunday morning blast over to Wales. The car has always been maintained with documented servicing. In its current spec it’s proved itself to be ultra reliable. lots of new parts will a folder full of receipts and old MOT's etc. Any questions just ask. Adam Looking for £10000 *Cam belt and front wheel bearings changed 18/07/19

  5. Hi Gary, I've entered Ballater, and I'll be going to Bo'ness. I'll probably be at Bo'ness Saturday and Sunday. Hope to see you before Ballater though. Is the car running ok, and ready for the upcoming Swiss trip?

  8. It's funny you should say that. At Playskool they call her "Butterslut" and my friend Graham calls her "Ponce". What name did you have in mind?

  10. This was not a new event and we already had Target Times for classes C to H Class A and B are calculated with 2.5 allowance compared to the class C and Class D Target Times J classes are scored on the times in their class on the day ( see Speed Series Regulations )

  11. Looking at the photo in the other thread, yes, it's a ZK style tonneau, with Sports Seat head pockets and cut outs for I suspect standard roll bar, it looks like it's then been modified to accommodate the back stays of an RAC bar, or possibly MSA.

  13. It's a matter of differentiation Scott. Voting on national matters at council elections is a wasted vote because it may send a signal but it can also mess up your otherwise satisfactory local structures. When asked 'IN' or 'OUT' there's no likelihood of people voting for nationalisation, foreign support, immigration or anything else - not even party politics. My main problem with the referendum was the total absence of considered and honest advice - t'was all biased propaganda. This seems to apply to all political 'discussions' nowadays. The democratic system is a lousy one but it's less lousy than any other. For every dyed-in-the-wool socialist voter there's a balancing in-with-the-mother's-milk conservative (case deliberate) to negate them. Floating voters are usually either people who think before they vote or vacuous idiots who are impressed by a winning boyish smile. The latter are too many unfortunately.

  17. This is the problem with Westfield owners... they always seem to find an excuse not to drive their cars. I just wanted to point out to owners that they've got a car that is begging to be enjoyed at every opportunity, not just for an early Sunday morning once in a blue moon.
