  2. IVA Westfield Steering Wheel no boss. This is free on the Proviso that you pass it on free to another member after you have used it. This was donated to me by Chris King initially. Postage would be about £5.50

  6. How weird, Richard and Liz also have a 90th that weekend. Might just do a re-run on the 18th for the hell of it.

  7. Seriously tho. There's Lego everything these days. Something for everyone and it needn't cost the earth. I loved Lego as a kid and have fond memories of my technic car with the pop up lights (it was very similar to a lotus esprit) and only returned to it this year with Star Wars. But there Lego marvel and DC now too. I love the features & reviews by Jangbricks. He does a lot of city stuff too - check out this hospital he made. It's amazing! https://youtu.be/7Iu_ueUFmJc

  8. I've had a quick look into these fancy smart thermostats, the idea of creating zones with TRV's linked to the wifi are genuinely a cost saving idea. Trouble is with all new technology is you pay through the nose for it and the technical support is crap. I was looking at a £500 to do it in a few rooms so decided to wait. Oh and yeh the heating is on, the missus has still got a blanket/hoody/fluffy socks on and is giving me regular updates on her temperature.

  14. I just made the mistake of Googling the Millennium Falcon. £95. That's good, I thought. Then I realised that didn't have much detail. So I looked again. £285 - that must be it, I thought. Nope. Looked again and nearly fell off my chair! I hope you have good insurance, Stu!

  16. Matlock meeting point, from the left - Big Andy and Debbie, Alan, Dave, Us and Trevor Such a hilarious day, so we are at Matlock and nobody knows where this helicopter thing is. Julie has been a good girl, done her homework and out pops the bit of paper, like a satnav only not electronic. We will follow these directions and 'it is down a lane and in a field on our RIGHT' just follow me. We tinkle along on roads that we know and turn off down the lane, looking to the right for this here field. A helicopter comes in on our left, LEFT, look left, yep it's landed, follow that helicopter to the left and we picked up the signs and drove straight there, to the field on our left. I will have words with the little orange google map man later. We went to park up and there was already a Westfield there, Richard and Liz (Bioman) were waiting for us, what a lovely surprise, great stuff. Alan's family were there too. While Alan is busy flying, Trevor sets about balancing Andy's carbs. Dave pointed out that you don't often see the FORD MOTORSPORT cam covers and I must admit I have not particularly noticed one before. I will be on a mission now at car shows to see who has one, thanks Dave for adding some interest into my life. Tweek Then it was Alan's turn Have I introduced you to this monster. It accelerated hard past me yesterday as I was stationary and sat low to the ground in my Westfield, I got the full on 'ear experience' and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. It sounded pretty awesome today too and it was 2 cars behind me! Dave, what a wonderful car you have. More hilarity ensues when Julie starts taking a panorama shot of the cars and these 2 daft sods stand one side, then run round to the other side so they are in both sides of the picture. And Trevor, you think Glen has the mind of a 14 year old??? A more serious picture of the cars in the airfield, calm down children Then we all went for a run followed by lunch.....

  28. Congratulations to Ben and his new future passenger, we will look out for the new thread 'how to fit a baby seat in a Westfield' I hope Pete is recovering well and able to join us again soon. The Westfield's have certainly and consistently overtaken the breakfast meet at Curborough this year. It is a brilliant place to meet up though, with it's central location and petrol theme. I will be watching for next years dates and will continue with the runs into the Peak District as it seems to be popular. I have really, really enjoyed today. We met at Curborough where a wide variety of cars were wizzing around the track as part of the Hillclimb and Sprint Association event, which included a rather fast orange duratec engined Westfield. The turn out was brilliant, extra to the cars that came for a run out there was Kevin with his 'neighbour', ok so we have met your mistress then, Paul bought his yellow VX220 that thinks it is a Westfield and little Jeff came along for his kiss, well 2 kisses actually, one on the way in and one on the way out, cheeky. Curborough The Westfield's were in a row behind me as far as my eye could see and amazingly we all kept together. It made for a very difficult photo, you can just about make everyone out, squint...a bit more...no, you can't really see them, but believe me they are all there. We circuited around the Peak District, up the Crowdecote road and back down to Newton House for about 1 pm, just in time for lunch. The views were lovely in the sunshine, the air was cool and the roads were dry, perfect. All that driving must have tired Trevor out The venue was excellent and the staff came out to photograph our cars for their website. Has Stu got his eyes shut too, we must get stronger coffee All too soon it was time to depart, straight onto the nice big, fast A515 and with no neighbours it is a venue that you can make a suitable exit, 25 second video. https://youtu.be/-6ZRxL-lNxA So I think everyone is up to date with the various changes to the cars and it has been great to all get together. If you want more there is the Helicopter Action in Buxton tomorrow, next weekend is the Klondyke Steam Party in Staffordshire and the return of The Matlock Mystery Tour the weekend after that. Did I mention the Santa Run on 4th December? Thank you everyone for coming and see you all soon.

  29. Great to see Westfield getting involved in innovative solutions. Development takes time to get right, innovative development only extends the time to market further. As the article says, NDA's limit what the author can say. So sending out this teaser is to prompt feedback. If the outcome is a significantly stiffer, lighter and same cost as steel chassis.... who doesn't want that! Fantastic potential, let's hope a marketable solution becomes available! Keep up the good work Westfield Andy
