  1. And a Good Morning to you too Our car Inside Cupola Inside Cupola Breakfast at Cupola Parked at Cupola, just missing Martin in the line up, who was unfortunately stuck in traffic, making 14 cars. After meeting at Cupola, where the owner had saved us a designated parking spot, off we went on the quiet roads far away from the tourist hotspots. We were having lots of fun and doing great all the way, even could see that we were up for a clear run up the Crowdecote road, licking my lips, getting excited and p**f! a flippin' campervan had just pulled out from a little side road ahead, so we had a slow but scenic ride up. It soon turned off and we were back in action on the little used road behind Hartington, then the last mile we followed an enormous tractor run with zero chance of overtaking. We arrived at the Jug and Glass in a very relaxed state, Luay, @Louie checked his fuel gauge. Dave and Ian gathered around a cardboard box We do some weird things don't we . Here we are all parked up. Oh then it was surprise time, Chris had finally bought a Morgan after carefully taking his time to find the right one and he pulled into the car park with a MASSIVE grin on his face. Well done Chris, living life and making it happen, some people take the easy route and just give in and don't bother. One very happy man and we were absolutley delighted to see him and his car Next was lunch because we were hungry after all that breakfast!! It was no hardship to sit outside and we thanked the staff for their excellent food and service. We will be returning here as it was great and we were made very welcome. Jug and Glass car park Lunch at the Jug and Glass, cheeky monkey @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO After lunch Lee decided it was time to change his clutch cable with the help of Glynn, you might recognise Glynn, he's the one that seems to spend a lot of time bent over It was glorious weather and we needed cake, with Hulme End Tea Junction only a few miles down the road we decided to carry on. On arrival Lee checked his car out and all was good. Parked at Hulme End @AndrewBClarke took position of @Andy Westwood and got the largest jam and cream scone We enjoyed the sunshine for a while longer before heading home A fantastic day out so thank you to everyone for joining us. Next weekend is Dave's visit to the Vulcan Bomber and photoshoot on Bank Holiday Monday, don't miss it!! I am working 6-10am and can't make it so if you can then you must, you won't regret it. If you have enjoyed your day out or just enjoyed reading this and you like the club, I am sorry to remind you that it only exsits WITH a committee. Chair and Secretary positions are available and we can't function without them being filled, think about that. Seriousness over with, back to being daft, bottoms up everyone, love you all and see you next time XXX

  2. Thanks for yet another great day out Julie & Glen. Lovely choices of venues for rest stops, stunning roads and plenty of lovely views, and for once time to admire them. Only a couple of pics but it should give peeps an idea of how Julie’s fun days out go…

  7. Road Westfield after today’s ride, parked next to my track Alfa 156 CUP (an original car from the Alfa Romeo 156 Cup racing series in Poland in the early 2000s, one of around 30 cars built for that series - a real rarity). It turns out the Westfield isn’t quite as tiny compared to a proper race car as it seems when parked next to modern, truck-like SUVs at the supermarket

  10. Great photos, Mark, thanks! I didn’t realise you were still on Oulton Park damper settings when we were haring over some rough Peak District roads till Andy told me over the intercom quite what an impressive display of sparks you were making! Oops, sorry, I did back off a bit, as soon as he told me.

  11. Hi all, recently pulled the trigger on my first Westfield after realising what I’d been missing out on all these years! I had never previously considered a 7 type car as I’m 6ft4 and never thought I’d fit in one. A conversation with my mate Lee (soon to be on his 3rd westy) got me thinking and pointed me towards Toybox cars which happens to be just up the road from me. What a place that is! Andrew soon had me sitting in various cars and I was pleasantly surprised. In hindsight it should’ve been blatantly obvious, they’re kit cars, they can literally be made to fit. Next thing I know I’m in the passenger seat blatting along the country lanes around Ashby , taking corners at crazy speeds and almost immediately the decision had been made (see the pic below) Hoping there’s some WSCC meets in my local area (Leics/derby/notts), be good to meet up with a few of you guys, get some pointers and check out your rides

  12. I have been able to secure a parking area and a table at Cupola, so that’s ok. For the lunch stop I have been UNABLE to get us in, so we are now going to the Jug and Glass, Ashbourne. We will be there around midday and we will be sat outside as requested by the venue. Everywhere else that I tried wants a deposit and menu choices, which is quite hilarious don’t you think? I can’t even say for sure how many people are going.
