  4. Google TVR Glen thoroughly before even thinking about buying anything from that operation. We’ve seen a surprising number of Westfields that were written off belonging to owners on here go through his doors. The damage description has NEVER once fully matched what the previous owner described. Nor does it usually match the photos the owners have put on the forum.

  5. As part of the club's 40th Anniversary I think the best way to celebrate is to drive our Westfield's, so why not join Glen and I for a drive around the Peak District. Meeting point details and route plan will be posted on here the week before, let's invite the sunshine too shall we?

  6. Let's celebrate the 40th anniversay of our car club by meeting at The Great British Car Journey at 10am for their Kit Car Kaboodle event. There will be a small entrance fee of which the committee will pay towards. More details will be posted on here the week before.

  9. Difficult to fit an electric reverse to a westfield tunnels very narrow compared to mk no where to mount motor i think a couple of westie owners have done it at the front end but not easy.took mine to mk sportscars and they told me to forget it not happening.

  10. Still a work in progress on mine but if you check the downloads section there are 3D models already available. https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/files/category/112-the-mofast-files-an-archive/ I wanted mine to fit from above rather than underneath like the existing available models. For honey comb I used a free model online and just trimmed it down to fit the vent.

  11. I love the eBay description: “No Suspension or Chassis Damage. The damage is only to the high level bar on the entry area of the passenger side” Is that not the chassis?

  12. Ahh, TVR Glen! The tales I could tell you about him and this operation... if I weren't on a public forum and those comments would unnecessarily land me and the club in a courtroom... Allow me to say something that I can say without that happening: MANY OTHER PLACES TO BUY A WESTFIELD ARE AVAILABLE - SEARCH THEM FIRST BEFORE YOU BUY

  13. I bought off eBay for £11.50 to give it a go when take my daughter out in car. Hard to hear her with helmets on. she only with every so often. For price it’s worth a go. I didn’t want to splash out on wireless set. As she’s not out with all the time. I love the Retro packaging.

  14. See @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative , my car is clean sometimes. It is only on trips with you that we are obliged to find all the farmers muck etc to plaster all over the car! Thanks @Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO for the write up and photos.

  17. Here we have a pair of original Westfield doors for a narrow body. They are in good used condition. There are a few marks on them having been stored for a while. - the window transparent plastic is nice and clear. Would prefer local collection from Bishops Waltham (Southampton) so you can get eyes on them to make sure they are what you want. Else, Please get in contact and we can arrange postage. Looking for £160, and probably £20 to post. Any questions, please just post or call 07760318922

  18. These arrived today, hopefully enough in here to join most of the XI loom bits together. Main loom is on order from Autosparks, have gone for a generic loom with more circuits than I currently need. It can take up to 14 weeks to arrive... will have to get on with something else for a bit... Also in recent arrivals was an IVA foglight module from MK sports cars along with a momentary toggle switch to trigger the latching relay.

  19. On the way home the engine decided to shake the thermostat housing bolts loose and leak coolant rapidly. I managed to get to a lay-by and stop in clouds of steam! I contacted the AA, and when the engine had cooled I tightened the housing bolts and checked all the hoses etc. Once Jordan from the AA arrived, we topped the coolant up, bled the system, pressure tested and ran up to temperature etc. All appeared well so we set off, albeit after a 2 hour delay. We didn't go straight home, we went to the services first, and then decided to eat whilst there. We set off for home as the rain started just to end the day on a high note!
