  2. @Tim (Sideways) Johnson - Club Treasurer I did sneak into a bus depot to take this pic. I'm not sure I'm daft/brave enough to try to get airside................. or am I........................

  4. So the bus drivers license wasn't enough, Ian?

  5. My work iPhone SE has just had iOS 26 loaded to it. It looks OK and seems to work the same. That said I don't use it much and would never have an iPhone for personal use. I hate them πŸ˜† But personal choice I guess.

  6. I've never had that happen, but that's probably down to luck with surfaces rather than any skill on my part. I've heard of people using a piece of rope or carpet looped round the bottom rung and driving onto that first to stop it sliding. Never had to do it myself though.

  7. I am pretty sure I've seen these that hook over or clip on to the front of the usual metal ramps, in effect giving a much lower and gentler slope onto the ramp. This means once the car's front tyres are on them the metal ramps shouldn't get pushed away as you try and drive onto them.

  9. Yep use them all the time; but also found them nearly impossible to drive onto without at least pushing them out of place, and sometimes one would slide further than the other! So I've long since given up driving on and now just lift the car on to them with a trolley jack. As for safety, I've seen axle stands start to topple too, if too much lifting (bad) or sideways forces are applied to the car. (Though I'll always try and make sure high torque items where possible are at least cracked loose while the cars tyres are on the ground, even if some load is being taken on a jack. If I've got both ends of the car raised and one or More wheels off, I'll also put the removed wheel(s) under, or part under the car near where I'm working as a backup; in the insanely unlikely event of it falling off the stands, even if I'm pinned, it will be the wheels taking the bulk of the cars weight, not me!

  10. Have a pair of these and find they give you the hight to get a trolly jack underneath and then use axle stands.

  11. Could you cut the sleepers in half and turn them round?

  12. I have some with a built in bottle jack and they are fantastic. Drive onto them almost flat then jack them up. Locking mechanism when jacked + use axle stands too

  13. I use them, but don’t drive onto them . I prefer to jack up and put them under the raised wheels.
