  1. Human CO2 production? That's pollution, right? Sounds fair for taxing

  2. The pence per mile charge for EV’s in to offset the decline in fuel duty revenue so in theory the Government lying toerags should not start adding pence per mile to petrol/diesel vehicles

  7. Thanks Ben, great meeting you and some of the members on Sunday at the Stag. Luckily my Se is a wide body and they seem to fit nicely although the hinge hole on the windscreen pilar had a lip in the casting half way down which was cured with a small round file. Hope to catch up with you all when I've got the car tested, registered and on the road, can't come soon enough. with regards john p

  8. OTOH.... When I bought my pre-lit in about 1990, one of the first things I did was wrap the header. It lowered under bonnet temps significantly. I only had it about 3 years, sold it to go vintage racing. When I bought it back several years ago, it still had that same wrap on it. The header was in excellent shape, except that the chrome plating had acquired a green tint. 25+ years 5 or 6 years ago, I built a new header (larger pipe) it's wrapped as well

  11. Christmas wrapping done, ball ache! Sleeve type might have been easier when the engine was out but it’s done now, next back on to the suspension and chassis.

  12. I still believe vehicle licence should all be on fuel and not Car TAX, we all know this is just TAX and nothing to do with enviromental reasons My own fleet... Westfield, which does ~2k miles in 6 months costing £~180 which works out 9p per mile or 40p per leter VW camper, which does ~2k miles in 6 months costing £~180 which works out 9p per mile or 73p Per leter Tintop bmw 16K miles £165 per year. 1p per mile or 11p per leter I can't justify taxing the Camper or westfield thoughout the year for maybe the odd drive out in the winter. So they are Sorn 6 months of the year. I can't drive more than one car at once! so the more cars I have the less each one will do yes more revenue for the government I know there's Electric cars but i'd be suprised if something could nto be written into the software to create a pay per mile. Or app.. or black box....

  13. I made one of these for my own car, and have a few spare sets manufactured as back ups. The kit will come with the metalwork needed to make the unit. You would need to make 8 folds, and then bolt the parts together. The folds would depend on the exact measurements of your car. I will send out some instructions to use as guides, but you could customise it further if you wanted to. I can price in fixings if you need however you may wish to use your local supplier. Some additional modifications may be needed to suit your car, but it fits in my SEIW nicely without fuss. The main features are a cubby to put stuff, and the switch panel which can be replaced if you later choose to change the switches, without changing the whole front piece. There's also a small compartment on the top, out of sight to hide things under the dash. I've priced them close to what I paid, I just want them to find a new home! There's a bunch of photos attached to show the parts and the assembly of mine. Hopefully these can be if use to someone! I have 1 full kit in stock, however I have 2 sets that's are missing the side panels, which I can remanufacture if the demand is there or you can make your own. £53 posted or £50 if collected from Hailsham. Hopefully these rambles make sense.. cheers!

  18. Once the EV pay per mile charge is up and running, guess what then! Yes, there'll be a pay per mile going on petrol and diesel cars.
