  3. 680kgs, well over 200bhp at the wheels, 220lbft of torque at 3k rpm….sluggish is a term I would most certainly not use….around a track, the BEC is going to be a quicker, but on the road, when you are scrambling around to drop three gears, the V8 has instantaneous acceleration even in 5th……sluggish it is not!

  4. I just wanted to say hi, I have re-joined the club after being away for probably over 25 years. The good news is I still own my Westfield SE that I purchased 36 years ago, the bad news is it's been stood in a garage for around 23 years so is now in need of a full rebuild. Anyway pulled it out of the garage it was stored in and have relocated it close to my home, I need to find storage space for my other toy so I can get the Westy into the garage at home to start the rebuild. She's a 1988/1989 kit, narrow body SE with a 1600 xflow. I'm sure I'll be looking for some help along the way specifically locating parts or newer alternatives. Richard

  6. I've fitted B6 seats to mine, bought through this forum from David. The Tillet runners work just fine, although you'll certainly need to drill new holes. And you need the seat option with the rolled edge cut off for them to fit. Other than that, only thing to watch for when fitting is clearance for the shoulder of the seat when pushed back. It's a bit of a tight fit, but not too much so.
