  1. We picked up our hire car this morning and headed north, En route i spotted signs for this place, it wasn’t planned honest 😉 it was 30$ each to get in Margaret wasn’t really interested (she’s followed me round loads of car museums) so I said I’ll go in you wait out there in the sun I’ll only be 5 minutes, the young lady at the desk said it’s ok it’s free today, she must have taken pity on two little old folks😂 so in we went, Margaret lasted 5 mins, I lasted quite a bit longer.

  3. I just wanted to say hi, I have re-joined the club after being away for probably over 25 years. The good news is I still own my Westfield SE that I purchased 36 years ago, the bad news is it's been stood in a garage for around 23 years so is now in need of a full rebuild. Anyway pulled it out of the garage it was stored in and have relocated it close to my home, I need to find storage space for my other toy so I can get the Westy into the garage at home to start the rebuild. She's a 1988/1989 kit, narrow body SE with a 1600 xflow. I'm sure I'll be looking for some help along the way specifically locating parts or newer alternatives. Richard

  4. Westfield Seight, V8 Less than 3 yrs old, and has only done 1200 miles. Kit purchased in 2007 by an elderly gentleman who never built it, I purchased it in 2016, and it went through IVA in 2022 having spent 6 years building it to a very high standard. It was issued with a new 22 plate and went through IVA 1st time. Always garaged and has never seen a drop of rain. No doubt one of the last Seights to be registered. This car has been built by myself with a ‘no compromise on quality’ approach. As you can see by the specification, I’ve only used the highest quality components. The engine block used was also one of the last units that came off the production line and as such is one of the most reliable blocks rover produced. I have a ton of history, folders and receipts for the car, which will all go to the new owner. The engine has been correctly mapped and has been designed for drivability, the car is incredibly smooth and ballistically fast, but at the same time easy to drive. The aeroscreen is surprisingly good at keeping the wind off, and it rides beautifully thanks to a full NMS geo set up. Just had an oil and filter change (Valvoline Vr1) Will come with a Laptop that has preloaded software to control the Canems ECU (should you every want to remap), DASH 2 (can be completely re-configured), Freewheel configuration Car will be MOT’ed before sale and comes with a set of spare keys. Please, no time wasters or silly offers, the money will be going towards another future build (but not this year). But if you do want to own what is no doubt one of the best Westfield V8’s out there, then message me if interested. 7. Do I need large fire extinguisher when I turn kill switch ON ? I’m not sure right now if was a smart idea to convert a simple, reliable operating track-only Westfield with just a few wires, no handbrake, no horn, no proper indicators, nobproper lights, fog reverse ligjts, etc.into a road-legal car… but I’m pushing ahead anyway

  11. It seems bonkers that you can buy an epic Westy like this and have enough money left over to also buy a lovely baby Aston to keep it company, for less than the price of even the cheapest new Westy! This is amazing value for money. Good luck with the sale

  12. They are unbelievable fun..and also very nice to drive, the power is almost instant even at low revs…..yes, it’s basically the same engine all be it slightly more bhp. Typically TVR ‘over egged’ their power claims!…

  16. Welcome, I’ve got a red top in the one I’ve taken to replace my V8, it has had some work done but is having more done during the winter. It’s currently in bits and the engine builder is working his magic.😉 lots of other bling and goodies to add this winter.

  17. Welcome! Yes, trial members need to use an external image hosting site, full members can upload directly to the forum - it's one of the (many) perks - and the storage space for photos is one of the things the subscription covers! The Redtop is a fantastic engine in a Westfield, I have many very fond memories of mine.
