  3. Also a Quad Lock mount for my phone that I’ve made a bracket for and mounted using the tonneau poppers. My suction mount didn’t like having the heater vent blowing on it, so kept falling off. Hopefully this one will remedy that.

  5. More car p**n - finally decided to treat myself to some satin black 13” CXRs. Good service from R&R Alloys. Now I just need to get the tyres…

  6. Bonnet mould having release coats applied, and between coats getting templates made up for the cloth layup. Thinking of doing a 0/90 spread tow for the scoop, and twill for the remainder. 45/45 biax mid layer, and coremat for extra stiffness. Haven’t done weight calcs yet, but should end up much lighter than the grp bonnet, and of course be much stiffer. Haven’t decided on vents as yet, but will make these separately and make them into a feature. Using the plug for my templates, and will be doing an infusion.

  10. Never regretted buying my 13” CXR’s! I love them despite the limited tyre choice. I would suggest before you fit the tyres is get them ceramic coated, I used Gtechniq C5 wheel armour and the water still beads off of them 👍🏼

  13. I used it to do my Jag wheels about 3 years ago. I decided to double ceramic coat them, took me days doing it all properly. Mostly letting it properly set between coats, making sure they were spotlessly clean etc. Was worth it though.

  14. I've used it, and to get good lasting protection, found you do need to do the full prep. However, with the full prep, I also found GTechniq's claims for the longevity of the coating, very, very conservative. Though admitedly, post most washes, I do give them a final light spray over with GTechniq's C2V3, before polishing off with a microfibre cloth. (This doesn't affect the ceramic coating beneath, but helps keep peak water beading, and helps stops the dust/dirt sticking)

  16. Had a little bit of pampering done over the past two days. Nothing crazy, just a good once over. There were a few super minor marks from prior to my ownership, and I like my cars to look as good as they go. Mission accomplished. Very happy.

  19. I went to view a 450 Chimaera on Wednesday at Lowe Classics near Abergavenny. They have some very nice cars for sale, nearly all on sale or return. They don't seem to mind people popping in for a nose but if you want a drive you need to book. They also I think sometimes do a kinda cars and coffee type thing on weekends now and then. Next door is a large workshop who do all their maintenance on the cars, they are young guys who really seem to know their stuff as they have worked on so many classics and exotica. They have also had quite a few kits through here over the years. If you're local and are looking for someone to work on your Westfield or classic, they'd be well worth talking to. Here are some of the cars they had for sale, some very valuable stuff there! Classic cars for sale in Abergavenny | Lowe Classics https://share.google/eKRXGq6Gur8dCgRdc
